A full introduction to my 963 rewrite

Name: Jack Andrew [Redacted]

Gender: Genderqueer

Pronouns: He/Any

Sexuality: Bisexual + Ambiamorous

Age: 30-something but originally died in his 20's so he appears 20's

Species: Human/Immortal

Appearance: A human male with fair skin, auburn hair that is bleached at the ends, freckles, and red eyes. He has many scars, the most prominent one being part of his upper and lower lip being split clean open. The other main scar is along their torso, where deep scar tissue leaves pieces of ribs that haven't gone into place properly exposed (though it has little to no effect on her overall health).

Backstory: Came from a family with generations working in the Foundation which is where he also met his childhood best friend and now fiance, Jess Lockeheart. However, a incident when he was sent to a new site for an assignment resulted in his immortality as the project included the amulet they are now bound to.

How Her SCP-963 Works:

~ 963 not only contains his consciousness, but also the record of their appearance, which is prone to change based on things that happen between re-molding periods.

~ When 963 is placed on someone, their body will begin breaking down and melting until it is just a pile of flesh, skin, bones, and organs.

~ Body will then begin reforming to look exactly like Jack.

~ Based on the mass provided by the person, sometimes it lacks the required materials and will simply develop scar tissue to make up for the lack of stuff. This is how they have the split lip and slightly exposed wonky ribs

~ Sometimes it's still wonky even after the re-molding period.

~ When injured, instead of bleeding the wound pours out the flesh and has to be put back in before the wound is allowed to heal

So what's Jack's weapon of choice?

AGREED. As someone who was groomed by a content creator, if he ever got popular, I wouldn’t want his original characters to just be hidden.

That covers up everything completely, and does nothing to address the actual issue. I’m not saying it should be celebrated, but being able to take a piece of media away from the original creator and their actions is a beautiful thing. It’s a great way to still acknowledge the character’s uniqueness and impact on the community while taking any power or reach the creator had away.

Now, the whole renaming thing is SO much worse. Not only does it not really do as much to exile the creator, but it covers it up in an even worse way. Sure, it might feel good in the moment to slap a new name on a character and act like you’ve given justice to everyone harmed, but all it does is give the creator a new alias to hide under.

I honestly find renaming a pathetic way of virtue signaling. It does nothing except for make people outside of the situation feel and look better for using the character. Believe it or not, it doesn’t matter if this version of the character has a new name and face. It’s still that character and all you’re doing is ignoring the truth.

Obviously I don’t speak for every victim, you might’ve had the same experience as me and have a completely different take on the issue. All I ask is that you’re peaceful and civil when it comes to debating with others, as at the end of the day, they’re still people too.

(TW mentions of Admin Bright also read the bottom part and the comments it's important) I said a lot of what I'm gonna say in a server so some of this will be repetitive to some. And I really don't want this page to become a drama one so I'm not going to be going back and fourth arguing my opinion with anyone. To anyone that is unaware of what is happening on the wiki a lot of authors are editing Dr. Bright out of their works or deleting stuff with him in it entirely (Some of the deleted stuff was reposted but as of right now we can't say for sure how far this will go).

Dr. Bright as a character has many works that aren't even done by the creator due to the nature of the wiki. So with that and the fact that Admin Bright isn't even on the wiki anymore If there was ever a time where it would acceptable to still like a character made by someone awful this would be it. The be character is a huge part of the community and honestly and is one of if not the most known character. I feel like trying to erase this character is one impossible and honestly I think it's stupid to even try.

As much as I feel in 2023 I shouldn't even have to say this but trying to erase horrible people and horrible stuff that happened doesn't make you look good. It doesn't look sympathetic. It looks like you're trying to hide something. This could be a great time as a community to learn and prevent something like the stuff that admin Bright did doesn't happen again. This would be a great time to acknowledge what happened and say we won't tolerate anything like it again. This is not the time to try and hide it away and pretend it didn't happen.

Also the fact that authors on the wiki are editing Bright out of stuff but so many people still don't say anything about TJs article (and how so much of the other stuff on the wiki that is gross) really looks like they don't care how outdated a lot of the stuff on the wiki is they are just trying to do damage control. It doesn't look good. A lot of the stuff needs to be redone it doesn't need to be deleted. This isn't how a community makes up for it's mistakes, it isn't how you prevent it from happening again, and it isn't how you show you care about problems like this.

Editing this to make people aware because THIS IS IMPORTANT and this posts has gotten a lot of likes quick. DJK is a predator too PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS GOOD IN THIS WORLD DON'T CHANGE BRIGHTS NAME DON'T USE DR SHAW AS A CHARACTER DON'T GIVE ANOTHER PREDATOR THE POPULARITY AND THE CHANCE TO VICTIMIZE MORE PEOPLE. DON'T LET THE STUFF THAT HAPPENED WITH ADMIN BRIGHT HAPPEN AGAIN!
