It’s funny when people come to me and tell me “that’s not what it was meant in the past” or “you can’t just change the meaning of something”
and like....yes you can. Literally it is within the nature of language and humanity to change with each generation of people. Words, contexts, metaphors, they are constantly changing and evolving. How we understand our world and how we live in it is never the same as it was yesterday. Yet we have so many people fighting, trying to dig their nails into the past bleeding as they are dragged kicking and screaming into the future.
They try so hard to deny change, the very thing that makes us human.
It’s like the embodiment of conservative views. The idea that things are not like the “old values” or “traditions” makes the world bad for some reason.
Change isn’t inherently bad. Change can be good, or it could be neutral. But no matter what change will happen. So we might as well start living towards the future or die in the past.
I wanna post oc stuff but i'm also afraid to post more oc stuff. Like would people even be interested in them?
As someone who us adopted and constantly seeing people use "but they're not blood related!" as an excuse to ship siblings. I want ya'll to know that i think you guys are nasty as hell.
It's also so fucking strange to me because???? It's kind of like implying that if you're not blood related your not a "real" family and that makes me even more sick.
I feel like my problem with creating is that my art and writing isn't fun for me like it used to be.
I'm so focused on wanting to create something that impresses people that i just end up hating everything i've ever made because it doesn't look like professional art.
Sometimes i can get in the mood to just draw whatever, but those are far and few.
I'm trying to just draw and not worry too much about how it looks and how many people will like it.
My enjoyment shouldn't revolve around other people.
