We are but flowers hoping for a sunny day. Would you deny them that simple kindness. If not. Then why do we deny our self's.
I just want to say that everyone here has been so lovely and kind. When I first started posting I was hesitant at first, I thought perhaps I would be laughed at, I had hoped to be ignored In a way. I'd thought at least I won't know if they think my work laughable. At least I can be ignorant to the mocking.
But I found that people here are kind. They have so much talent and words that I wish the world could see. To share my writing with others has been a pleasure. To read the beautiful and sad and often the beautifully sad has been a lifeline. This place is my candle in the dark.

It bugs me when people are unnecessarily mean. Like, you didn’t have to make that comment. You could have just kept your mouth shut and left that person not feeling bad about themselves. What do you gain from making someone else feel like shit? Nothing of substance. Maybe a fleeting moment of power but that’s gone as soon as it comes so why? There’s enough unhappiness in the world without you adding to it.
sometimes you need to give up committing to the bit when someone genuinely can’t tell if it’s a bit or not and is getting distressed about it :/ sorry

it's so funny to me that conservatives think the reason university students become more liberal is because of the actual course material and not like. the fact that universities in the US introduce are oftentimes the first place Americans are introduced to a walkable environment with affordable health care, with community spaces for any affiliation under the sun where they give you free resources and cheap food. with included public transit and opportunities for training in your field of choice. and you realize that for how much you're spending on tuition/taxes, yeah, you do deserve these things, it would be insane not to have those. and then you graduate and go back to having to buy a car to drive 20 minutes to the grocery store.
as the colder months approach: i wish you all a healthy, calm end of the year. i wish you tasty cups of tea, comfortable clothes, warm beds, nutritious meals in safe homes, good music, new friends and unwavering health. you deserve good things now.

seeing people argue on twitter that we should not be nice to strangers and that strangers do not owe you respect or kindness and that if anyone asks you to be nicer ever they are entitled and a horrible person and being nice to people you don’t know is unpaid emotional labour and if you ask anyone to do it ever you are an abusive person. ha. hahahahahahahahahahaha
Imagine Your Favorite Character
Imagine travelling to your favorite characters story and them taking you in whilst you stay there. Eventually becoming very fond of you.
the past weekend was very overwhelming. I tried the best that I could and I’m proud of myself.
I tried my best to not let negativity get to me. Yes it was hurtful but I tried to let my kindness overcome it. like they say “kill them with kindness”
You matter and you are beautiful. Don’t let anyone take your shine away.
Kindness: Kindness extended is kindness received mutually. It is the beauty of grace shared compassionately that builds upon the Divine in each other. This is the way to fulfilling one's role of loving your neighbor as yourself. A grateful heart can only offer kindness and do so abundantly without reservation. True kindess may be short in a exchange between one or more persons, but it is sublime in nature. Appreciate this fact and kindess will more likely appear constantly around you by grace. I am fortunate to have some pretty great people in my life, both personally and professionally. The back me up in the strangest ways without me even hinting that I need the support. They see past my masks and care for me regardless of not fully knowing me. I appreciate every bit of kindness they give me, yet I do not feel worthy of it. I do not feel like I do enough to deserve their acts of love?
