The jury did NOT believe she was abused. The only defamation count she won was about she and her friends staging a crime scene after consulting her publicist and lawyer then calling the cops back a second time bc the first set of officers left after seeing no evidence of a crime. They decided that one, extremely specific statement was defamatory bc there was insufficient evidence to prove she and her friends did those things that night, NOT bc there was insufficient evidence to prove the abuse was a hoax. If they believed he abused her he wouldn’t have won all 3 counts of defamation bc you can’t defame someone if you’re telling the truth.

so the jury recognizes that amber was abused, that the abuse she wrote about happened. but its also defamation to have written about what did happen? very contradictory, dont you think? what this says to me is the jury knew amber was telling the truth but the media presence was enough to pressure them into ruling in favor of johnny. which is exactly what he wanted. he made it a public trial in the court he did because he knew it was the best chance he had at winning and it fucking happened.
