Httyd3: the hidden world
I personally disagree with a lot of people who say this movie is bad, because I personally really enjoyed it. I watched it ten or eleven times total, if you count the first time I saw it. It has a really great, mature story with an excellent message about love and loss and letting go. Love was always a theme in the trilogy but here they scored with it in every way possible with the fact that every character is bond to it, like Hiccup and Astrid or Hiccup and Toothless. There is some reality to this movie that makes it on doubtfully beautiful and let it feel more realistic, because with the theme of loss everyone has a story to tell. Love and Loss always comes as a backache, you can’t have the one without the other.
I hope I will show with this post, how much my friends and I love this movie, even though we have our little nitpicks. We think that it gets too much unesassarcy hate. Maybe some day they will see as much good in it as for Shrek 4.
Bath Time-Love & Scars

Hiccup watched as the rich, silver moonlight swept over the delicate contours of her body, as if it were enveloping her in a transparent cloth that did not hide the manifestations of her beautiful femininity. Her perky, round breasts over which her golden hair fell like a veil or the sweet little bulge between her legs that was only dimly visible in the moonlight. She was as beautiful as a goddess or a valkyrie from Valhalla, strong and fiery but also compassionate and helpful with an almost unpredictable desire for justice. She was his fiancée, the love of his life. Astrid Hoffersson. He saw her grin mischievously at him, the light of the moon sparkling like silver flames in her eyes. “Are you finally taking off your clothes? I don't want to have all the fun alone." Hiccup smiled at her in love and finally took off his pants and removed his artificial limb.
With her back to him, he watched as she climbed into the hot water of the spring, pushed her long blonde hair to one shoulder and revealed her scars to him. She had acquired a few of them in recent years, which ran like invisible threads across her soft skin. He loved every one of her scars, no matter what they looked like, they were a part of her and he loved everything about her. Hobbling, he ventured into warm water with her, wrapped his arms around her stomach and kissed her shoulder. “Have I actually told you today how much I love you?” He felt her smile as she leaned against him a little and their two exposed bodies met. He felt her shudder as he pressed his manhood against her bottom. “You tell me that every day and I give you the same answer every time. I love you too, maybe even more than you love me." Hiccup pouted and kissed her on the cheek. “No, I love you more.” He grinned happily when she let out a soft sigh as he wrapped his hands around each of her breasts and began to simulate the rosy nipples. “And now, M’Lady, do you admit that I love you more?” Unprepared, Astrid loosened his fingers around her breasts so that she could easily slip away from him into the deeper water. With a splash, Hiccup landed in the shallow water. He didn't have to wait long before Astrid was above him again and sat on his lap. Her beautiful breasts bounced slightly as she sat down to look down at him. His hand immediately slid over her hips up to her back, where he traced every single scar. "I won't admit you love me more until you show me how much you love me." A triumphant smile appeared on Hiccup's face as he swung around so that Astrid was now underneath him. “It will be very easy. Because I love everything about you.”
I just noticed something.
The little cronckle in httyd3 is called Fishmeat, which is a combination of the names from Fishlegs and Meatlug. I think Fishlegs and his beloved cronckel were co-parenting Fishmeat, which sounds pretty much like something Fishlegs and Meatlug would do.
The httyd3 debate
Just a respectful defense from someone who loves all the movies and thinks this is a good ending to the story.
I personally think we don’t have to criticize the crab out of everything. Yeah we can be sometimes critical but we don’t have to forget the fun, happiness and enjoyment these movies brought to our lives. For me personally it’s not just a bunch of movies, it’s a journey that wouldn’t be complete without httyd3 the hidden world. Also in my opinion the hidden world is a misunderstood masterpiece, that just brings everything to full circle in a beautiful bittersweet way, where Messages are hidden we should all take away something. As someone who loves to write stories and knows very well how all of this works, you have my word that this story has natural structure with a satisfying ending. For me this trilogy is not a place where I criticize the crab out of everything, no, it’s a safe place after a hard day or a sad time just like my stories are. Httyd means as much to me as my stories and I could never put one movie over another, because every movie shows us beautiful lessons about love, friendship and loss. They inspire me for greater things. Every installment in this franchise deserves its place, especially httyd3 for ending the story in such a realistic, beautiful way. There is something legendary to the final story of the franchise, that I can’t explain.
Don’t let this be ruined by the people who don’t like this movie, it’s their opinion not yours.

The Friendship of a Lifetime
They have the best cinematic friendship ever written, they love and care for each other undoubtedly. They are not just friends they are brothers and soulmates.
A TV-Show between httyd 2 and 3
I have honestly nothing against a series that’s based on the comics from Dean DeBlois and Richard Hamilton, we also would then finally get the fire tides, that plays again between two movies as long as if it doesn’t ruin the ending of the franchise and as long as they would put it on Netflix and not on Peacock. Because we all know what happened as they put their shows on peacock, they were doomed.
I also would take the producer of Chaos Theory take over the show. They have proven that they can really nail it without any issues in the lore and also a Httyd show in the tone of chaos theory would just be great, because it would also again appeal to the older fans of the franchise. I think if they would put the money, they invested in the live action in a new show it would be smarter. I think DeBlois will be faithful to the live action because he loves the httyd-trilogy as much as all the fans do, but still something about the thought of a live action feels wrong. Of course not everyone would be on board, I am myself skeptical as well. But if the people of Universal are so desperate to milk this unique, fantastic franchise then please do it right. So everyone would get something out of it.
