Literally can’t stop imagining isekai’d reader accidentally appearing in Genshin but before the main story. Like, they appear right in Inazuma when Ei was just done leaving her first prototype puppet-

Coincidentally our reader appears right before Kunikuzushi is about to witness his second betrayal and saves him in a very chaotic scenario.

Did I forget to mention that reader gets to keep the in game abilities and time having a very slow effect on them ( 1 hour in Teyvat= 1 minute to reader’s body) basically making them semi-immortal? Yeah reader is op in this fight me.

Kunikuzushi walked the streets of Inazuma, fascinated but confused by the world around him. He was all alone with no knowledge on how to blend in….

As he walked he could feel others staring and whispering. He did not like it. He was just wondering what to do next when a loud noise from the stalls behind him caught his attention. He turned around.

In one of the food stalls, a person had just fell into the fruit crates from the above set of stairs. Did they jump? They were groaning while the owner of the stall was yelling at them. They wore…peculiar clothing. In fact they looked very peculiar, so different from everybody else.

Kunikuzushi was snapped out of his thoughts when he heard the Shogunate Samurai yelling “GET THEM” from the same place from where the stranger fell. Before he could even blink, the stranger jumped from the crate and ran towards him. They grabbed his wrist and continued their dash.

“Bonjour, I’m here to fuck with the timeline! And you’re included!”, the stranger declared. Kunikuzushi wonders what “fuck” means but with the shogunate samurai on his tail he decides to focus on running instead.

“WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT ARE YOU DOING?” He was confused and mildly scared that a random stranger just appeared out of nowhere decides to kidnap him.

“NO TIME FOR THAT HONEY JUST HANG ON!”

“???”

Ah, he hadn’t noticed that they are running into a dead end that is a massive wall. The stranger was unfazed tho.

Without stopping, they swooped him up bridal style and JUMPED onto a roof beside them. But because of the samurai still after them, they proceeded to parkour out of the city with Kunikuzushi still in their arms. The lad was screaming the whole time lol.

The duo managed to escape the city and reach Chinju forest. The stranger panted for air and carefully let Kunikuzushi down. He scooted a good distance away when they did.

Exhausted, the stranger crotched down in front of him, still breathing loudly.

“W-who are you and why did you kidnap me??” Kunikuzushi fearfully asked again, but this this time there were a few sparks of electro around him…

Better start explaining.

“Listen pal, you don’t have to be scared. I ain’t gonna hurt you-“

“Then why did you kidnap me!”

“As I said, I’m not gonna hurt you. If I wanted so then I could have done it the way here.” The stranger replied with a poker face. Kunikuzushi gulped.

“Well then why were you being chased a-and…why did you kidnap me…?”

The stranger huffed and sat down.

“Guess I better explain it to you then…” they met his eyes, he was cautious. Speak wisely.

“*Ahem* Uh…well..you see…” He was staring intently. Don’t slip up about the game’s story or anything about the whole game in fact.

“I’m your…uh…guardian-“

“Guardian?”

“Uh- angel!”

“Guardian angel?” He tilted his head curiously.

“NO! I mean- I’m definitely anything but an angel h-haha..”

“You’re a d-demon?” His fear was back.

“NO NO! I’m uh…your guardian…” they looked into his eyes. And then finally spoke.

“FRIEND!”

“…..??”

“…I’m your guardian friend!”

A very awkward silence rung into ears. He stared. For a good few seconds until…

“You’re my…guardian friend?” He asked, a small curiosity in his eyes.

“YES! I mean- yeah, pretty much.” They smiled.

“B-but…is it normal for friends to kidnap each other??”

Fuck.

How are they going to explain that?

Well, worth a shot.

They took a deep breath and-

“Well you see…guardian friends are very special creatures. They are barely seen in Teyvat. And when the samurai saw me, they thought I was some sort of immigrant and tried to arrest me. I’m sorry I couldn’t greet you normally-“

“How do I know you are my guardian friend? Or how do I know if they actually exist and you’re not some crazy person? And what even was that “fucking with timeline” thing?” He was cautious again but the curiosity never left his eyes.

The stranger smirked. Time to put that in game knowledge in use, eh?

“I’m a person from the future version of Teyvat. Every once a while. Special people are chosen to time travel back into time to do whatever they want. I chose to be your guardian friend because you definitely need one. How would you explain my attire?” The stranger began explaining but Kunikuzushi had his doubts. He was about to interrupt when-

“I also know you like the back of my hand Kunikuzushi.”

He froze. The stranger continued.

“Let’s see, made as a prototype puppet for gnosis but-“

“OKAY OKAY I BELIEVE YOU” He quickly stopped them.

“Heh, you do?” The amused stranger raised an eyebrow.

“Y-yeah…but tell me, what do guardian friends do? I’ve never heard of them.”

With that question the stranger started giggling. Kunikuzushi tilted his head. Did he ask something weird? The stranger got up and with a cheerful smile,

“Ohohoho! That’s simple my friend! Guardian friends are just like guardian angels but more fun!”

“More….fun…?”

“Yep, we basically guide you and all but also provide company. Like a partner in your shenanigans. A friend! An amigo! A chum! A family!”

“A…family..?” He asked confused.

“Oh…do you not know what a family is?”

“No. What is a family?”

The stranger sighed with a small smile and offered him a hand. He was hesitant for a second but took it.

“Join me for a walk buddy, I’ll explain everything.”

He nodded and they strolled around the forest, hand in hand.

“A family is a special person, or a group of people. Don’t matter if human or animal.” The stranger plucked a flower and tucked it in his hair.

“They feel familiar. They feel comfortable. Like the warmth of a small flame.”

A few crytalflies fluttered overhead.

“No matter what happens you can always return to them. They are your home, somewhere you can rest when you are tired of the world.”

“…Do I have a family?”

“Not yet, but you do have a friend.”

“Can friends be family..?”

“They can.”

“So are you my family?”

“That is up to you to accept me as one.”

…..

A comfortable silence was enjoyed as the two friends sat underneath a tree, watching the glowing plants and creatures of the forest.

“I never got your name.”

“It’s y/n.”

Summary: You die stopping your brothers form fighting, but somehow live? You lose all memory of them tho and get transported to another relam. And then you meet four years later.

“THEY SAVED MY LIFE JUST A WHILE AGO.”

Traveler yelled in frustration and it made Diluc freeze. Like a deer caught in headlights. A million questions rose in his mind. Did he hear that correct?

“Master Diluc? Hey? Are yo-“

“Please go back to your room.”

And with that, he left.

Traveler groaned in frustration. Who is this mystery person? They took down those monsters form the pit so easily…Their head throbbed. Maybe some fresh air can help? Yes, fresh air would be lovely. Maybe a small walk around the vineyard as well….in some appropriate clothes of course.

They headed back to their room and changed into their normal clothes. It was hard to do that because of the injuries but they were unfazed. They could only think about the mystery person in silence. Speaking of silence, where is the silence breaker Paimon? Meh maybe she’s outside as well?

It was a peaceful sunny day outside. Just like the day when they fell into that pit of horror. Crystalflies were merrily fluttering among the vineyards with a soft glow. Traveler strolled among them, wanting to collect them but their aching body said otherwise. There were so many things going around! From a distance we can see birds in their nests, squirrels collecting nuts, Paimon arguing with Kaeya…wait- Kaeya? What was he doing here?

Next to the manor’s entrance, Paimon was yelling at Kaeya and angrily stomping her foot in air while Kaeya just crossed his arms and said something that seemed to annoy her even further. Next to them was Elzer who was desperately trying to calm them down.

“HAH! PAIMON BETS YOU CANT EVEN EAT GRAPES!”

“Now now, just because i don’t like grape juice doesn’t mean I can’t eat grapes.”

“Why are you two yelling about eating grapes?” Traveler decided to join in. Paimon perked up at the familiar voice.

“Traveler! Look! Paimon was just asking Elzer for grape juice and Kaeya had THE AUDACITY to appear out of NOWHERE AND MAKE FUN OF PAIMON FOR WANTING A DRINK!”

“I was just trying to greet you Paimon-“

“What kind of greeting goes “ew grape juice”?”

“Pfft” Traveler tried to stifle their laughter. It only further offended Paimon and she began ranting even louder.

“By the way what are you doing here Kaeya?” Ignoring the angry pixie, traveler now gave their attention to Kaeya’s strange presence at the manor. Why was he here though?

(If you look real closely you can see salt being rubbed on a certain angry marshmallow who was being ignored.)

“Don’t mind me, I’m here to pay a visit to master Diluc regarding some matters. Now, Elzer?”

“Right this way Master Kaeya,” Elzer bowed and began leading Kaeya inside the manor. They were about to enter when traveler suddenly called his name.

“Kaeya!” He was there in that picture. His blue hair and eye can’t be mistaken for somebody else’s. Maybe he knows who that child was?

Kaeya stopped in his footsteps and turned to the traveler.

“…nothing, sorry.” But traveler hesitated.

Kaeya stared for a second then huffed with a small smile and went inside, leaving traveler alone with Paimon.

“HEY! ARE YOU EVEN LISTENING???” Paimon impatiently floated in front of the traveler’s face, waving her arms. They snapped out of their thoughts. Darn, they let another chance escape…

“What was that? You were staring into space.” Her tone was full of concern. Should she know? Doesn’t seem to bring any harm to tell her…

“Paimon, there was something in that room at the end of the ha-“

“Honorary Knight, hello!” It was Adelinde this time.

“Hey Adelinde! What’s up?” Paimon turned and waved at her as she approached them.

“Oh nothing much, I see you are recovering honorary knight.” She smiled at the traveler. They smiled back.

“I am, but pray tell, why is Kaeya here?” Curiosity got the better of traveler as they asked.

Adelinde’s smile was replaced by a sad look. She quickly tried to cover it up but the duo had already seen it.

“I think they are having a work related meeting. Im not sure.” She said but it also felt fake, like a lie.

“Adelinde, are you okay?” Paimon was confused at her behaviour.

“Im fine really! Instead I should be the one asking you, traveler you look pretty distracted by something.” She was right about traveler looking distracted though. They really can’t get their mind off that picture.

“Adelinde, can I ask you something?”

“Yes?”

“What is that room at the end of the hall on the first floor?”

Somewhere….

“Hey toots, whatcha doing here all alone?”

Alone on a rooftop, a (h/c) haired person sits and stares at the black and red sky above them. They didn’t notice the brunette girl approaching them until she called them out.

“Nothing much, just wondering about this damn pit…” they sighed. The girl lazily sat next to them.

“or are you wondering about those two?”

“…..”

“I’ll take that as a yes.”

“*sigh* It’s just…listen, I don’t believe in this “aura” and shit but there is something about them that felt so familiar.”

“…have you inhaled any toxic gases recently?”

The brunette received a playful punch on the shoulder. She giggled.

“No damn it. I just- ugh…even I can’t explain this…it feels so familiar like I…I-“ they stop mid sentence as they find themselves short of words. What is that familiar feeling?

The brunette was about to speak when a siren went off.

“Crap it’s happening again!” They both got up from their seats and jumped off the roof, reaching the ground running through the ghostly streets.

“Wasn’t this supposed to not occur until next week??” The (h/c) haired person asked clearly confused and concerned.

“I don’t fucking know! Just focus of reaching the top of the cathedral!” The brunette yelled as they both ran even faster.

Part 1

It’s been a month and half since you and Kunikuzushi met. He was cautious of you at first (because duh you just abducted him) but started warming up slowly. Heck you two aren’t even stuck together. He could have walked away anytime but for some reason, he stayed. Maybe he really believes you are his “guardian friend”?

But yeah, using your in game powers you teleported yourselves out of Inazuma and into Mondstadt because Inazuma was anything but safe.

So now, here you two are, residing in a temporary home in Springvale. Both of you accompanying each other in your daily shenanigans. You however, keep an eye on Kunikuzushi because he is as innocent and naïve as a small child.

“Hey Kuni, could you go and fetch some berries from the garden?”, Kunikuzushi heard your voice call out from the kitchen. It was a sunny morning. The sky was a beautiful blue sheet with the perfect amount of clouds floating around the sun. A perfect weather to relax in your backyard, exactly what Kuni was doing.

“Sure!”, he answered back and got up. The backyard had a small yet sweet garden with a few fruits and veggies patches. There was of course a thick berry bush.

Kunikuzushi picked up a nearby basket and began picking some berries, carefully picking the ripe ones. Once he was done, he turned around to leave and-

*SQUEAK*

???

It came from the bushes….Kunikuzushi stopped and listened.

….

*SQUEAK*

Is there a rodent in the bushes? That can’t be good. Y/n said that they are bad for crops…

Carefully setting his basket aside, he approached the bush. Hesitantly, he stretched his hand and inspected inside-

!!!

Inside the bush, was a small electro slime, stuck between thorny branches. The poor thing was shaking. It looked pleadingly at Kunikuzushi. Begging him for help with his “teary” eyes.

Usually Kunikuzushi has seen how dangerous slimes can be. But this one was so small…so vulnerable…he wanted to help it…

He carefully grabbed the smooth part of the thorny branches and began removing them away from the slime. He was slow during the whole process in order to not startle the slime because if he did then I’ll get hurt by the other branches around it.

After what felt like an hour, he finally managed to free the slime. It jumped out of the bush happily and stared at him with sparkly eyes that said “my hero”.

“There, you are free now. I think you should go home, come on shoo!” Kunikuzushi tried to shoo the slime away but it continued staring at him.

He awkwardly gazed around until he decided to get up and go. As he was walking towards the door he felt something bump his leg. He stopped.

…..

The slime was still there and it was lovingly nuzzling itself against his leg. Kunikuzushi has never felt so confused in his life.

“Hey Kuni, why were you out for so long? Did you get the b- OH MY GOD!”

Here we see, a wild Kunikuzushi with a wild electro slime in his arms standing awkwardly next to the kitchen table. The sight reminded you of a child with a stray puppy about to ask if “we can keep it”.

“Listen, don’t panic, I can expl-“

“It’s so cute!” You cooed at the little blob who tilted it’s “head” at you mildly confused. The slime wasn’t the only one as Kunikuzushi also had the matching expression.

“Where did you find it?”, you asked as you gently took the little slime in your arms, cradling and stroking it. It purred in delight.

“O-oh it was stuck in the berry bush. I freed it but now it won’t leave me alone…” Kunikuzushi looked away and rubbed his neck.

“So can we keep it?” He looked at you with small puppy eyes.

“Only if it wants to stay with us”, you stated.

Kunikuzushi stared while processing what you just said. Then, he gently took the slime back in his arms and-

“Do you want to stay with us little slime?” He asked while looking into it’s eyes.

The slime had no definite face, only two round eyes. But one could still tell the overloading happiness emitting from it. The slime squeaked in joy and buried itself into Kunikuzushi’s chest so hard he stumbled.

“Woah- haha I guess you do!”

“Aw look at you! You just became a slime daddy!”, you cooed at him.

“A what now-“

“A slime daddy!”

“I…am a parenteral figure to this slime?” Oh my god he was so cute.

“Haha no no, it’s pretty normal to adopt different creature and claim to be their parent.” You pat his head.

“Oh, I guess then I’m your slime daddy then?” He held the slime up in air as it squeaked what seemed to be a “yes”.

He smiled…that smile then turned into a fit of giggles, and those giggles turned into hearty laughs as he hugged the slime. It was beautiful seeing him laugh like that…it was so contagious that you started laughing as well. The slime only snuggled into his embrace, enjoying the sweet atmosphere.

“So…watcha planning to name it?”, the slime had no name. You wondered for possible names as you, Kunikuzushi and the slime cuddled together on the couch while reading a book and enjoying the berry ice cream you made.

“Hmm…any ideas?” He also pondered.

“Well I think you should name it since you found it.”

“Uh…I have no idea…”

“No idea huh? Well how about Kuni jr?” You grinned at him as he flushed in embarrassment.

“Wha-“

“Or…kuni-kuni?” He turned even redder.

“S-stop!”

“Or, how ab-“

“Bu!”

“???”

“I’m gonna name them Bu…” he declared, his cheeks still red.

“Oh…watcha think Bu?” You asked the slime. Bu seemed to be approving of that name.

“Well then, welcome to our family Bu.”

Here part 2

“Y/n? Why does Bu look so depressed?”

Kuni poked at a purple blob in his picnic basket as he took a bite of his sandwich.

“What do you mean? He was fine a few days ago.” You answered from his lap. That’s right. You both are currently having a mid night picnic at Starsnatch Cliff. Eating sandwiches while laying on Kunikuzushi’s lap as he eats his own. The only problem is that Bu seemed sad about something, sitting inside the picnic basket and making sad squeals that sound like “sighs”.

You sat up from his lap and inspected the blob in the basket. Good lord it seems it’ll deflate like a balloon any second. Wonder what’s troubling Bu…

“Yeah but…he’s kinda off these days.”Kunikuzushi looked at Bu worried. He continued, “He doesn’t even go beyond the garden anymore. I don’t think it’s healthy for him to stay holed up in a limited space.”

“Is he sick or something?” You finished your sandwich and carefully picked Bu out of the basket. Instead of being a happy energetic blob, you were met with a sad little slime.

“Oh no…something IS wrong with him.”

Bu’s sad behaviour has now taken 2 days. He only likes to be in the garden and with his daddy. You’ve flipped through every book on slime illness but none helped. Kuni isn’t having it easier either. He is stressed to the point he ruins his sleep schedule. You wonder…Is he terrified of losing Bu? You wouldn’t lie that you were also scared if anything happened to him. There’s gotta be a reason he is so depressed. So, with another sip of coffee at 11pm, you began to flip through the books again. There’s gotta be something you misse-

You heard snores from the living room…

Slowly getting up from your seat and out of your room, you tip toed down the hall.

In the living room, was Kunikuzushi, hugging Bu and a small plant?? They are fast asleep on the couch with a huge messy pile of books surrounding them. You sighed. Quietly getting a blanket, you draped it over them and started cleaning the mess. Once satisfied with the result, you turned to leave when someone grabbed your wrist…

Kunikuzushi was holding it.

“Please don’t go…” he muttered half asleep.

After processing for a few seconds, you gave a small smile and gently used your free hand to caress his cheek. Your eyes wandered on Bu, and you gave the sleeping slime a soft pat. It gave a low squeal and cuddled closer to into its plant.

Sitting beside them, and without causing much disturbance, you guided your roommate to lean on you. He did so sleepily and snuggled into you with Bu and the plant still in his arms as you held them and fell into slumber yourself.

You woke up. Still on the couch? Yes. Cuddled with your family? No. Where are they?

Just when you thought of that question, you heard noises from the kitchen. Ah…right, they are probably in the kitchen.

You got up from the couch and stretched. Thank god it was a Sunday.

After washing up, you make your way across the hall (a familiar plant catching your sight sitting next to the window) and into the kitchen next door. You met Kuni making pancakes.

“Good morning” you wished him and plopped onto the counter. He looked at you and returned the greeting with a sad little smile. He’s still stressed. You huffed.

“Are you still worried about Bu?” You gently asked him. That remaining small smile of his fell as he hastily flipped a pancake.

“*sigh* Don’t worry, whatever it is, must have a reason. Trust your guardian buddy, we’ll fix the problem in no time!” You tried reassuring him which was replied by another sigh.

“I don’t know…he’s been like this for three days now. It’s pretty concerning. What if we don’t-“

“Oi Oi Oi! Don’t think any of those bad thoughts. You gotta stay strong and positive for him, okay?” You gave him a light bonk.

“Right…”

…..

“By the way why were you hugging a plant in your sleep last night?” Curiosity strikes again. Hold on is that Kuni or a tomato cuz god damn he is red in embarrassment.

“U-Uh…well…ahem, Bu really liked the plant and would whine if I tried to take him away from it…” he tried saying that with a straight face. Keyword: tried. His face was a red mess.

“So…you slept with the plant?” You raised an eyebrow and smirked. He only managed to squeak out a “yes”. ‘Why tf is he so cute?’ you mentally squeal over him.

Wait…speaking of plant where is the tiny blob who cuddled it?

“Kuni, where’s Bu?” You asked.

“Oh, he’s in the garden, probably digging into the soil again.” He chuckled. That’s right our electro slime likes to bury himself in the ground. What a weird little slime Kuni found….

“Pfft, cuddling plants? Burying himself in the ground? What is he? A dendro slime?” You joked as you approached the back door to the garden. Little did you know….

“Hey little buddy.” You greeted Bu. Kuni was right about him digging holes in the ground. Bu looked up to you from the small pit he was halfway in. He still had a sad look on his face but something was off…Without any squeaks of acknowledgment, he turned to the fence, staring at something.

You stopped in your tracks for a second.

“Everything good?” You tilted your head. No response….you wonder…

You crouched down to his level and tried to spot what he was looking at. Was there something wrong with the fence? Were the small doors for him to crawl in and out of the garden too small? You looked harder and then you realised that…he wasn’t staring at the fence. He was staring beyond it.

Squinting hard, you catch a glimpse of…Dendro slimes…? Now it was pure confusion. Why was he so gloomy at the sight of dendro slimes? Did they bully him whenever he went out?

The dots didn’t connect until Bu hopped out of his hole and approached the small pond in your garden. (Yes you have a pond in your garden fight me)

Bu woke up. His “antenna” feeling funny. He didn’t know what the reason was. It was mid afternoon now with the sky bright blue and for some reason he wanted to go out…

He started off by deciding to “hug” daddy first before leaving. He hopped off the window and made his way to the living room where his family was playing “chess” or whatever they called it. He stopped next to where his daddy was sitting and nuzzled against his leg. Kuni looked down on him and made a “surprised” gasp.

“Y/n look! Bu grew into a dendro slime in his sleep!” He giggled. Bu was confused now.

“Oh my! That is the prettiest dendro slime I’ve ever seen~” you played along.

Bu just stared. Did he finally grow into a dendro slime…? You got him a mirror and-

He was surprised at first, then began shaking with joy. He finally turned into a dendro slime!

You watched in amusement as he hopped around the round with loud squeaks and finally into Kuni’s arms where he got a nice hug.

“Who’s my little dendro slime? You are~” Kuni raised him high up and cooed at him.

“Congrats little buddy! Say, don’t you dendro slimes want to cuddle plants or something?” You raised a playful eyebrow at the slime while patting him. Plants…that seemed to hype him because he jumped out of Kuni’s arms, gave him and you a quick affectionate nuzzle and hopped his way to the garden.

“There, he’s back to normal now. Told ya you could trust your guardian buddy~” You grinned and elbowed him playfully.

“Nice sewing skills by the way. No way I could have made that flower petal acces-“ you paused.

Kunikuzushi was looking at you. Into your eyes. His eyes had pure admiration in them adorned by a small dreamy smile…

He was about to scream again but Venti shushed him in time, pointing at the blob on his lap. He nodded as Venti removed his hand and let him speak.

“I’m just confused. How dense can a human be?!?” The slime was immediately silenced as he found himself unable to reply. Kuni takes his que to rant.

“They see me as a little brother. A LITTLE BROTHER! I TRIED EVERYTHING VENTI TAUGHT AND I GOT BROTHER ZONED! DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH IT SUCKS TO BE BROTHER ZONED?? I MADE A CHEEZY FLIRT AND THEY JUST PAT MY HEAD WITH A GIGGLE.”

“Sweetie I understand your crush won’t notice you but keep it down. We’re in the library.” Lisa poked her head from the bookshelves and went back to her work.

“Sorry…” he groaned and massaged his temples. Bu trying his best to be supportive rubbed his arm.

“Ugh my break’s over now, let’s go Bu.” Deciding to ignore his pain with work, Kuni got up from his seat and began to pick up the books from the table to arrange in their respective shelves. Bu trying his best to assist him hopped off his seat and pointed out the shelves. (The little guy was even carrying small books on his head)

“Goodnight Kuni! Goodnight Bu! I hope to see you two tomorrow~” Lisa waved him bye at the footsteps of the Favonius building.

In case if you’re wondering, Bu came looking for you with a medkit on his head but got confused when he saw his dad rush out of your room and slamming the door. Now Kuni is the one who looked like a mess as he slid down against the door. He covered his mouth and processed what he just saw.

“Y/n...why are you doing this to me…” he panted through heavy breaths. Your body flashed in his mind and he couldn't help but shamefully imagine what you looked without the towel covering you.

He really can’t hold on any longer.

"Just stop playing so dumb!"

His face was mad. And his voice was on the verge of cracking. He was on the verge of blowing up.

"I'm trying so hard! Yet here you are being so oblivious and naive to all my advances...how can a human be so dense?!?"

Now the dots were slowly being connected. He never does anything to make him a stammering fool but this week he's been strage. Those compliments, the flowers, Bu cannot pick them so tenderly! He has no hands. Could it be that...

You leaned closer to his face, close enough to feel each other's breath. In the most seductive tone, you whispered,

He let out a gasp as he felt himself being pushed onto the couch. He closed his eyes and landed on the soft cushions, but when he opened them, you were there. You were hovering on top of him, caging him between your arms. In the dim lamp of the room, your honey lit eyes held one thing. Passion. For him.

You gently stroked his face, Staring into his violet eyes. He found it hard to look away.

“Oh Doll…” you exhaled. Kuni swallowed the lump in his throat. You leaned closer towards him as he closed his eyes in anticipation.

Only to feel suffocated. Literally. He can't breathe. All his air supply was cut off. He struggled but it was akin to punching air.

Kuni woke up with a loud gasp as Bu fell beside him on the table.

He took his time to cherish the sweet oxygen and then take in his surroundings. Large bookshelves surrounded him and the bright sun leaked through the window behind him.

Wait...was he asleep in the library? Was it all a dream....?

He looked around to see Bu upside down and dizzy. He quickly grabbed him and put him upright.

"Bu, did you fall asleep on my face again?"

So that explains the suffocation. Wait- that dream!

His face got flushed with embarrassment remembering the events. Still, he wondered what would have happened if he wasn't suffocated by his slime child.

"Don't do it again, okay? You almost suffocated me in my sleep."

"Squeak!"

And so those two stretched and continued their library work as if nothing happened.

The loud music and the sound of people cheering from the rooftop can be heard all the way to your hotel room. As the darkness surrounds you in your little room, the sliver of light from the closed curtain allows you to see a man sitting in front of you. His smile is cheerful and full of life, you can see the excitement in his eyes.

You can hear the people upstairs screaming even louder. The man leans towards you. You give him a soft smile, he chuckles unknowingly of what will happen once it's midnight.

“HAPPY NEW YEARS!”

You can hear the people screaming on the top of their lungs, the music becoming even louder. This is the perfect chance. As the man leans in towards you expecting a New Years kiss from his lover, he is met with a sharp pain in his chest. Your smile is innocent as ever as he stares in shock at you. You stabbed him in the heart.

“Y-you…why?” His voice was filled with sorrow…aww it looks like he’s gonna cry. Perfect.

You lean in close to him, you whisper in his ear making sure he hears you.

“Because I can.” You smile, while you look back at him, his face is full of disgust. Like as if this man never did anything heinous in his life.

You sigh, still hearing the loud music and the laughing of the people upstairs. You sit up from the couch you sat on, and turn to the man who is now laying down on the couch lifeless.

“Well…mission done I guess.” You walk away from the couch and to the large bed in the hotel room. Your tiny purse which the now dead man got for you the day before was on the bed. You rummage through your purse to find your phone.

As you finally find it you quickly go call a certain number.

You hear the cell phone ringing and a click.

“Hello this is Violet speaking.” You talk in a whisper as if anyone would hear you from all the commotion that is happening outside.

“Oh agent Violet, are you already done with your mission?” It was a soft, sweet voice on the other line. It was refreshing hearing it from all the other ruckus you hear around you.

“Yes I am, to be honest it was quite easy. And I thought this was a top tier mission.” You hear a giggle from the other voice in the line, such a soft voice belongs to your hard working co-worker, Ganyu. You begin to pace around your room talking to Ganyu. While on the phone you have established that your mission was over and for the clean up crew to get the body.

“Well I guess that was all I hope I can take a break from all the missions.” You sigh, now starting to feel exhausted.

“Well I hope you can take a break (Y/N), I know how hard you’ve been working.” You can tell she’s feeling sorry for you.

“Oh and (Y/N).” She started talking in a whisper.

“Happy new year!” She says proudly you can tell she is smiling.

You pause, silence now takes over.

“….thank you Ganyu, happy New Years to you too.” You say your goodbyes to Ganyu and hang up the call. You're always too busy to celebrate such things like news years. You smile to yourself, surprised that a little thing like someone saying happy New Years can make you smile.

You start packing up your things and head to the reception of the hotel. As you head out of the hotel you go back to the dumpster.

You take out your phone and throw it onto the ground with all the force you can. And to make sure it’s really destroyed you start stomping on it. After putting all your might into destroying a nearly $1,000 phone, you use your shoe to sweep off all the pieces to random places around the dumpster. You would never want what ever happened to that man to lead back to you. Even though your agency was always made sure there was no evidence and no lead to anyone.

You could never be too careful anyways.

It’s a week after your last mission. Your agency lets you have a little break. Your mission was about killing a high profile person after all. You must not pay anymore attention to yourself now. But as one of the top agents in your agency you are always needed. So they only gave you a week. How harsh.

The loud and annoying sound of the alarm clock rings into your ears. Why did you even buy this stupid thing. Out of not being a morning person you swipe the clock off the dresser it was propped on. The alarm is still ringing, you groan as you finally get up to stop the annoying alarm clock.

What a great way to start your morning. As you get ready with your morning routine you wonder what has been going on in the agency while you were on your mini vacation. Even though you were gone for only a week, many things could change in such a short time. The agency you're in has agents come and go, either that they were either killed, arrested, or just never seen again.

When you really think about it’s pretty risky to have the type of job you have. But you were in that agency for so long it would seem weird to work in a normal job with normal people and live a normal life. You were used to the dangerous life. And you were used to the un-normal people you worked with.

As you finish the final stages of your morning routine you start to hear a ring from your new phone that you got a few days ago. You sigh loudly hoping someone can hear your annoyance. Why is someone calling so early in the morning ugh. As you pick up your phone, you read the id.

Unknown

Well how mysterious you think as you answer the call wondering who the unknown caller is, you hear a little too excited voice on the other line.

“HEYY Y/N!” The oddly excited voice was from someone you knew all too well. Hutao. An owner of a shady funeral parlor which helps the agency get rid of unwanted bodies and also does tend to do missions, for as she says “for the fun of it”. Yeah you think she is quite weird mostly for her sometimes overwhelming personality and for the business she runs and the people she surrounds herself with but it is being a hypocrite because you work with her so…but as weird as she is, she really livens things up when you're with her.

“What do you want?” You ask in a harsh tone, you don’t really mean but you were just cranky.

“Jeez sounds like you didn’t wake up on the right side of the bed, or did you fall off?” You hear her giggling on the other line. It was still quite early in the morning and the sun hadn't even risen yet. So you want her to get straight to the point.

“Say what you want or I’ll hang up.” You said in a deadpanned voice. You hear Hutao laugh nervously.

“So…Y/N ya know I heard from a little birdy that…you will be training some newbies.” There was a long pause after what Hutao said. You were pretty outright that you want nothing to do with newbies while working in the agency. You lived long enough and some newbies are not gonna get you killed while trying to guide them through missions.

“Hutao, how do you even know this!?” You tried to keep your voice low trying not to let your annoyance show but it was pretty obvious.

“Wellll-I heard from that one girl Jean from the Favonius unit talking to her vice manager Diluc. About having some twin trainees that suddenly want to join the agency.” While Hutao was talking she started talking in a whisper.

“It seems like the agency is suspicious of the sudden appearance of these twins from what I heard they can’t find anything out about these newbies. So they said your name and I just have to listen to more” she giggled to herself.

“Sense your one of the best, they want you to stay close to those twins to know what their true intentions are.” You wondered how she got that much information without being caught.

“So I have to basically be a babysitter for our agency…great.”

“Hey Y/N chin up a little bit you don’t really go around the agency and talk to any of your co workers this is a great chance to meet some people!” She said excitedly. You really could care less about meeting any of your co-workers because you never know if they could be dead the next day.

You sigh defeated. You quickly say your goodbyes to Hutao and end the call. You close your eyes thinking when will you ever get peace. You open them again and flop down to your bed. Well it was your choice to get into this agency.

…Or was it really.
