You’re probably thinking “hey Rose didn’t George just die because he hit his head and got knocked out and drowned? Why all the other injuries?” And the answer to that is well obviously he fell differently (probably leg and arm first instead of just immediatley head first, and then got tossed around more underwater)

But also to visually symbolize that Teddy’s actions had consequences since Y’Know the consequence in the canon was George DYING.
