Here aresome headcanons I thought of while drawing this :

- WhenEM was sad/not well, he used to come to MV’s apartment. Usually in the middle ofthe night but also sometimes during the weekends.

- Thenhe became President and decided he didn’t want to rely on MV anymore. But sincehe didn’t have anyone else to tell his problems to, he just grew more and morerestless and tense. He also ended up having even more trouble sleeping.

- EventuallyMV came to see him because he noticed something was wrong but EM didn’t want totell him anything and they ended up arguing about stupid stuff.

- Laterthat day, EM came to MV’s apartment to apologize.

He has pale skin, blond hair and light blue eyes. He wears a black jacket, white shirt, black necktie, black trousers and marching socks and shoes.

I made two artworks of Bob O'Loughlin from Bob the Builder today. The first one is a poster colour painting and the other one is a combination of coloured pencil and brush marker drawing.

His name is Andrew. He’s part of a group project for my Character Design class. I had to draw him with two different outfits, a turnaround, a silhouette version of him, a stand-alone illustration, 5 facial expressions, 5 poses, and 10 props for him. 

I spent about 3-4 weeks on this project. I’m proud of how he came out, except for the turnaround. I’m not too happy with that.

I spent about a week doing facial expression studies for my characters. I did my best to pick ones that matched their personalities. 

I did a similar assignment for my Character Design class, but I could use more practice. 

Writing Notes: Facial Expressions

Facial Expression - A form of non-verbal communication in which an affect display is communicated via the face, the musculature of which is sufficiently complex to enable a vast range of expressions to be conveyed.

The 7 Universal Facial Expressions of Emotion Anger, Contempt, Fear, Disgust, Happiness/Joy, Sadness and Surprise.

The 3 Types of Facial Expressions of Emotion

Macroexpressions

Seen in daily interactions with people all of the time.

Typically last from 1/2 a second to 4 seconds.

Microexpressions

Occur when people are consciously or unconsciously trying to conceal or repress what they are feeling.

Most people report that they don’t see microexpressions, however research has shown that people can be taught to spot these relatively easily: with training, in about an hour.

Typically last less than 1/2 a second.

Subtle Expressions

Associated with the intensity of the emotion, not the time the emotion moves on and off the face.

These occur when a person is just starting to feel an emotion, or when their emotional response to a situation, another person or the environment around them is of low intensity.

Recent research showed a high correlation between recognizing subtle expressions and being able to tell when someone is lying.

These expressions show the 7 basic emotions.
