Ok so I just thought this would be in honor of season 4 coming out yesterday.

Pairing Lain x Tiadrin , ( the reader is their child), Rayla x sibling reader

The reader goes by gender neutral pronouns.

" Do you two have to go?" A young elf named Y/n asked, hugging their fathers leg tightly. Lain chuckled lightly. You had always been more shy than your younger sister Rayla, but make no mistake shy as you may be none wanted to get on your bad side even though you were just 9. Your dad picked you up. " Come on Y/n let's go see Ethari and Runaan. You remember them, don't you?" Your father asked as he carried you to where Runaan, Ethari, your sister and mother were waiting .

" There you two are ." Your mother Tiadrin said, and your father gently set you down. You ran and gave your mother a hug. " Please don't go. " You pleaded with her. " We have to love. Take care of little Rayla for me?" She asked and kissed my forehead. " Of course, mum." I replied. " Both Y/n and Rayla are in good hands. " Ethari told my parents. " We know now we really must go. We'll be back before you knew we were gone. " mom said. " we love you. " dad said to Rayla and I. Like, did any of us know that would be the last time we saw either of them for years until we would learn the truth about their fate as Runaan suffered the same fate.

callum actually doesn't trust rayla! he doesn't trust anybody. except for zym, of course. he's a little zappy dragon boy that callum feels safe around, so he gets attached to him.

callum can't comprehend human speech in his state so any attempts at speaking to him are unsuccessful. besides, he just cowers whenever anyone enters the room he's being kept in.

zym is the one that actually gets him in his room. the others quickly realized that he was very intrigued and wanted to follow zym around. he finds his zappy kisses to be very nice

We need more callum centered angst fics I’m starving out here

Aaravos: All these kids are trash. *Proceeds to dress the first three down individually*

Me: Well what about Callum? You missed him.

Aaravos: Oh he’s mine. Not even going to hide the ball on this one. He’s my absolute favorite.

If someone doesn’t start making the criminal star elf a fucked up father figure to Callum I’m gonna riot

Hot take but I do not enjoy Rayllum. I still think it’s relatively important story wise and I don’t at all mind it being a canonical relationship, but I dislike how they frequently forego personal character development or depth, specifically for Callum, to hammer in details of a relationship we already knew was inevitably going to be canon.

(SPOILERS FOR SEASON 6)

Like that moment when Callum had to find “his one truth” or whatever. I thought it was going to be Sarai but when it turned out to be Rayla I was kinda disappointed. I feel like there’s so many other avenues that could be explored with Callum’s character that never really get utilized which is ultimately a huge let down.

I want to explore Callum’s grief with being an orphan. The potential jealousy of seeing his partner be reunited with her father, but also the man that made him an orphan. The dilemma he could feel between sympathizing with Aaravos’ story or facing the fact that he is a bad person.

We’re on the second to last season and I’m pretty sure my guy has only mastered two arcanums which is still a feat but also so much less than what I expected. In Avatar: The Last Airbender they did a very good job with balancing the development of everyone’s character, the storyline of Aang mastering the elements, AND showing us the relationship between Aang and Katara to a point that it was solidified it would become canon without it getting in the way of the story.

By the time Dragon Prince is done they would have more episodes than Avatar, but the reason why they could not balance these 3 components despite a writer for Avatar being a writer for tdp is because they paid way too much attention on unnecessary fan service for a ship that, again, we all know will be canon, instead of putting any serious focus on literally anything else of significance.

I love Rayla and Callum individually, I hate the shallowness of their characters as a result of showing a relationship that ultimately is also kind of shallow.

Yeah so if y’all could start writing fanfic of @jamieedlund Callum and Aaravos’ dynamic that would be great k thanks bye

I made this picture way before S6 came out, when theories about Callum and the possession was still a huge thing, and I still like some angst from time to time (as long everyone survives). (I still don't believe in the theories about S7 and Callum using Dark Magic again, since we had a really nice resolution to that problem in S6, which is not worth to be destroyed in my opinion, just to start all over again. If the word describing S7 is really "sacrifice", then I would rather think of Terry and Claudia - I have a feeling that Terry has still a role to play in stopping Claudia. But who knows.)

This time it's a frame design... which has a certain purpose, but I will share that with you later ;)

I will be away for a few days visiting my favorite medieval Fantasy Fair over the weekend, so I hope you enjoy this picture until I am back ~

I am still busy with various projects (at least one of them is TDP related), so unfortunately I didn't had time to draw new things.

But here is some old art where I refreshed the colors a bit, and corrected some small things that really bothered my eyes for a while.
