An AU where Yoriichi openly shows him simping for his wife and Mitchikatsu doesn't get too jealous with him and doesn't turn into a demon.

Also him suffering the third wheel presence among Yoriichi and Uta, the lovely couple.

I'd like to think that Mitchikatsu's marriage is an arranged and loveless one. Not sure if it's canon, but I'd like to think it that way.

She always made sure to hold his hand tightly.

The first day Yoriichi decided to come and live with Uta, the girl took a hold on his hand and lead the way to her home, her tight was strong.

It was as if she was afraid he would leave.

Since then, whenever they both went out together, Uta had always held his hand in hers. She had asked once if he felt uncomfortable with it and would rather her not to do it.

Yoriichi answered by gripping her hand in his.

He was happy.

Very happy.

His face didn't show his true feelings, but the small action from Uta made his heart fluttered. He noticed that it was something that calmed Uta down, as she sometimes had nightmares when sleeping and he would reached out and hold her hand, and she would immediately calmed down.

10 years later, married, even as adults, she would still hold his hand. She was still worried that he would leave her and she would be left alone again.

Yoriichi would gripped her hand and reassured her that, he would always stay by her side.

He would never leave her.

But she did.

Yoriichi would never forgive himself for coming home late that night. His mistake had caused his wife and unborn child to be murdered. If only he had returned quicker...

And so he cradled Uta's corpse in his arms gently for the next 10 days, tears already dried from the constant crying.

He held her hand in his. Her skin was so cold, no warmness on it like he usually felt. He regretted letting her hand go that day. She must have felt so lonely. She died a lonely death with their unborn child.

His grip around his wife's hand tightened.

What he would give to have her hold onto him again...

Hakuji/Slayer Akaza Headcanons

BREATHING STYLE: BLIZZARD BREATHING

Determined and strong, loyal and one of the strongest pillars.

Used to live in the dojo with his master and his fiancée Koyuki but sadly he lost them to a demon, he could fight it and the demon ran away, but it was too late.

He promised himself that he won’t let any other demon hurt another family so he joined the slayer corps.

With his master he learnt how to fight but he had to learn how to use a weapon to kill the demons, his best option was Tonfas because of his close-range fighting style.

He could actually rip demon’s heads off with his bare hands but that would be useless.

Blizzard breathing pillar, half Snow (Koyuki) and half his own rage.

Wears one of his master’s uniform under his slayer uniform and Koyuki’s hair pin on a necklace.

Douma’s best friend, he finds him weird and annoying but respects him. They train together and sometimes he sleeps over at his place when he feels lonely.

He was Douma’s inspiration to become a slayer.

Gets along very well with Mii-chan (Michikatsu, Douma calls him Mii-chan or Tsugikuni-dono, too straightforward or too friendly, there’s no midle)
