The feeling of being watched didn't take long to arrive. You turned slowly, still with some amusement in your eyes.

Sesshomaru's golden eyes merged with the rich color of yours. One of his thin eyebrows raised with disguised curiosity, clearly asking you something like, "What do you find amusing?"

You simply smiled with feigned guilt as Sesshomaru closed his eyes again, apparently understanding that he would probably never understand a bit of what you were saying. What you didn't know was that Sesshomaru now felt a bit of compassion for his younger brother... surely Inuyasha also didn't understand sometimes the woman from your era who accompanied him.

Now that you think about it, Sesshomaru has never eaten or drunk anything from your time. You wondered if it would be a bad idea to give him something.

A smile rose to your lips as an idea appeared in your mind. You stood up from your spot heading to your bag, to tell the truth you have hungry too.

The gentle smell of instant soup that emanated from the cups when you poured hot water made a sigh of satisfaction escape your lips. You couldn't wait for them to be ready.

You patiently counted the minutes as you turned off the electric stove that ran on those cheap batteries you bought at the store near your house. You thanked the gods for bringing the stove; Kagome was right, the machine is a savior.

You tested the contents of the two soups to see if they were ready to eat. And a contented sigh escaped your lips when you saw that they were indeed ready.

His eyes open without any hurry as you sit next to him. You feel a little bad; he was probably falling asleep when you arrived.

An exchange of glances was all you needed to know that he was waiting for an explanation.

"It's soup," you said.

Sesshomaru remained silent for a moment before taking the soup. You watched expectantly as he brought the chopsticks to his mouth, but really, can you blame yourself? You were curious to know if Sesshomaru would like instant soup.

You stayed watching his expression without knowing if his expression meant he liked it or not; he looked unreadable.

You closed your eyes for a moment, and when you opened them again, Sesshomaru was handing you the empty cup of soup.

"It was fine."
