Not just your Valentine (Finral x gn!reader)

Just a cute little one shot for a valentine's event for our BC server event! It's PG and fluffy, so no warnings!

"Ah, so you're already here, uuuh... I hope you weren't waiting for me too much..." The brown haired young man scratched his head as he saw you sitting on that one lonely bench with the exceptional view of the forest and the mountains.

He awkwardly sat next to you and slid closer, looking down. "How, How are you doing in this special day?!..." He shyly said and looked around him, with an awkward smile.

"What are you hiding?" You curiously peeked behind his back, and he jerked to the side.

"N- nothing, special..." He revealed a pretty box of slightly expensive chocolate and a colourful bouquet of roses and wild flowers. "These are for you..."

You took the gifts with a big smile, smelled the flowers and thanked him with a tender embrace. He was shaking, as he wrapped his arms around you and nuzzled your neck.

"Thank you so much, Finral! You didn't have to!" You opened the chocolates and ate one.

You looked at his embarrassed smile becoming relieved. You raised an eyebrow at his behaviour, but continued the date as planned, looking at the sun shining through the mountains and listening to the wind inside the leaves. Your hand slowly reached his and brushed his fingers.

He winced to the touch and you noticed a blush forming on his face. You held his hand and leaned on his shoulder. "You... You could relax, you know..."

What do you mean, I'm fine..." He sweetly said and rolled his eyes.

"Well, I see it..." You squinted with a bit of irony.

"Ah, fine..." He casually sighed with a grin. "Sometimes I just... You know... I sss-" He clenched his fist tightly and bowed his head as he was struggling to mouth something. "I suck at romance!"

He let out a muffled sob. "B- but! You're important to me... I have tried to date so many people before, I have gone to various mixers, bars, flirted on the streets, but I never was successful at this! I never cared this much other than the fact that my self esteem felt crushed, but now... Now I can't risk it! I just want to earn your heart, you know!..."

"... And you have!"

"I know, I'm so incapable of- Wait, really?!"

"Yes! You really try so hard, and that's so sweet of you, but you already have earned my heart long ago! You're a very sweet and caring guy. I appreciate trying to earn me but it won't necessarily happen if you are perfect by the dating standards." You put a gentle hand on his back and brushed some hair strands away from his face to look at his moved expression. "Just be yourself, Finral!"

Your hand reached one of the chocolates and put it in his mouth. He accepted it, but stayed silent for couple of minutes. Your expression turned worried and you called his name with a frown.

But it turned out that he was just trying not to cry with his mouth full, but couldn't keep it together.

"Oh, what am I going to do with you..." He leaned into your embrace as you extended your hands towards him. He clung to you and wiped his eyes.

Two words escaped his lips. "Thank you."

"For what?"

"For being my Valentine..."

"Not just your Valentine, partner..."

Fandom ppl are annoying af when they can’t think critically or separate fiction from reality and when they derail serious conversations with blorbo from their shows bullshit. But equally annoying is this new trend of people on here who act they’re so above it all. Like I just saw a post on here that said good media should make you stare at a wall for two hours afterward not write coffee shop AUs or whatever, like okay buddy sorry you don’t consume anything that brings you joy. That mentality is equally as untenable as sinking your entire life into dumb fandom bullshit. You can absorb challenging media as well as watch a dumb show that’s just fun, it’s not a zero sum game.

Floch x reader: watching shows with him on a rainy evening.

You return home from a tiring day at work, or you were staying in and were bored, the weather is not so good to go out and have a drink or dinner, so you decided to curl in your couch with a blanket and watch cheaply made soap operas and realities.

Floch reluctantly comes out of his hole as well, noticing what you're doing and really wanting to join, but it still looks stupid to him. He doesn't want to show that he'd like to watch so insignificant little shows, and yet he also craves to get under the warmth you have created inside the blanket, and wrap his arms around you. He wouldn't admit that he likes entertainment of poor quality, and especially he wouldn't want to reveal that he can get pretty touchy and gently around you.

Whenever he looks at you all comfortable and curled up, he almost can't help himself, he wants to rub your cheeks together and let his hands wander on the shapes your body creates.

You hear his feet on the floor as he approaches the sofa, and then he clears his throat. "What are you doing?..."

You reply to him with a smile while still looking at the screen, and you ask him if you want him to join. He shrugs and grimaces, and sits on the sofa next to you with crossed legs.

At first he's very stiff. Sometimes he shows scenes on the screen and comments on things that catch his attention. He ends up doing it even more as time passes, and he sometimes chuckles sarcastically at stupid love scenes or drama and calls it *baroque*.

You need to make the first move if you want to get him to snuggle you. At first, you maybe reach for his hand and tickle it with your index. Or maybe try to wrap the blanket around him. He wouldn't reciprocate but he wouldn't pull away either. He likes it in fact.

As time passes, he softly but slightly stiffly starts cuddling you, letting your legs tangle and making you rest on his chest. You can feel his heartbeat like this. Rubbing his chest will send goosebumps in his stomach, and you'll feel the trembling. His own hands rest on your back, occasionally rubbing it and your hair.

He actually gets fixated with your hair. He strokes them and plays with locks in his fingers. His lips gently brush on your head and he nuzzles it.

He wants to touch you intimately a lot. He cups your cheeks and your nape, runs his palms on your torso and reaches your legs as he gets even more comfortable with showing vulnerability and affection.

He doesn't want the peaceful evening to end. The shows are addicting as they keep him fixated on something and extinguish his boredom, buy most importantly, he can't get enough of your closeness and wishes he could get more times in the day to relax like this.

Ships ≠ real life problems that need to be addressed and fought. Even when it comes to underage or various *immoral* examples. Fictional worlds work different than ours, and on top of that, everything about them are literally fake, fantasy, in our heads. But what is real is different and shouldn't be dumped with the fiction. You are more than allowed to dislike things that you find ugly, but let people enjoy their content, and for god's sake don't threaten anyone about it. This is the internet, you cannot know for real what anyone supports or is, so just skip things and go on with your day.

Please return us to a world where Notp and squick are used for a ship you don’t like instead of just making up a load of bullshit about how immoral it is or w/e lol
