Rabdom question but have you ever sat down to plot a fanfic and realize you really don't like the canon? Only a handful of characters out of a cast of 20+ are likable, a few plot points are great, but you hate the main ship, the power system is ridiculous and timeline is only established by the ages of the characters. It still sucked you in as a reader but looking back on it you realize it's a mess.
