          Adjusting to the newer circumstances of her eyes in a new country is always an endeavor that leaves Skye rolling up the sleeves of her shirt and forging forward anyway. It takes her over a few months to get used to the campus she is currently attending for her classes. Some students find her fascinating and others are even kind enough to help her out, while others BRISTLE when they realize what the walking stick entails.

          And it’s been a year since she’s started that she’s learned to recognize the familiar and distinctive noises that come from each of the environments. The area she’s currently walking through is the main common area, voices quiet as they talk among themselves about a myriad of things. The walking stick in front of her continues to tap ahead of her until she hears the familiar voice of her friend.

          Her head turns in that direction, following the sound of her voice as they make their way to their next class. In spite of the handicap Skye has, she’s found that she’s keeping up with the classes with ease and wryly wonders if this is all schooling has amounted to for her. After a quick exchange of words with her friend, she enters the classroom.

          The professor has decided today is to begin a collaborative effort, something about writing a paper together, and Skye minutely frowns. He quickly explains the assignment and answers any questions throughout the remainder of the class until there’s a little less than a half hour remaining.

          He claps his hands together, dismissing the class to let everyone who are assigned together to start their collaborations. When the professor hands the paper out, he bends his head down and lets her know that her partner is someone named Shiku Hayakawa.

          Well, it’s not like she’s going to get up and find him, unfortunately, and it’s not as though she’s going to call out for him simply because she isn’t able to get up without the trouble that comes with that.

          After a moment more, a call of her name has her turning in that direction.

          ❝Oh, yes, that’s me,❞ Skye says, lifting her trained eyes to focus on a spot higher up than where she initially heard the voice. ❝Are you Shiku, then?❞ She doesn’t have anything out on her desk aside from a recorder and the paper the professor handed out earlier.

honestly, that list grew 3x in size of the amount of muses I wanted to write......... lol. now, the question remains will I write them, ever. TT~TT
