I can't say what exact time their world is in right now since it's very different but lets say 16th century-like time. Nothing modern but they do almost have public education for everyone (in some countries). Which is also very recent.

is uniima blood purple?

I'm honestly not too sure about it right now but it's probably a shade between pink and purple. Before I figure out the science of it its mostly aesthetic.

The inside of their mouth still has a lot of pigment and isn't really the same as our mouths being pink/red. It's also more rough and harder in most places (the double tongue (lighter color) is the softest part). Which means I could eventually just say their blood is yellow or something but that's unlikely to happen.
