What horror movies would you recommend? Suspense/thriller/mystery, parodies/spoofs/comedies, and monster movies are preferable to slasher/"gore is the main appeal" movies, but all recommendations are welcome. :) n_n

Ok, I have a ton of options, and I’ll try and stay away from the violent/slasher ones Personally, I love movies with people fighting monsters and/or fantasy horror. Things like IT, The Thing, An American Werewolf in London, the OG Nightmare on Elm Street, the OG Child’s Play, and Trick ‘r Treat are the more violent ones of the top of my mind if you ever want to look into them.

Other options that are not nearly as violent include: The Mummy (1999) Krampus (2015) Van Helsing (2004) All the Tim Burton animated movies pretty much Beetlejuice (A personal fav) also check out the animated series lulz Batman (1989) and Batman Returns The Crow (1993) The Brothers Grimm (2005) <- (I watched this way too young, lol) Evil Dead 2 + Army of Darkness  9 (2009) Clue (1985) Murder mystery comedy if that interests you Psycho (1960) The Birds (1963) Young Frankenstein (1974) Arsenic and Old Lace (1944) nostalgic fav, dark comedy Interview With the Vampire (1994) Reign of Fire (2002) Survival/monster movie, but with dragons Some of these aren’t really horror movies, but I’d consider them festive or dark. Idk

Do you ever wish it was socially acceptable for adults (without children) to go trick-or-treating? Like, I'm a (childless) adult and I *know* the "adult" thing to do is to give candy to the kids. BUT I *like* trick-or-treating!

I honestly see nothing wrong with it. It’s harmless fun on one night in the year. It’s a little silly to have any kind of stigma against it, or think it’s weird.  I personally only really enjoy it if I have a good group of friends with me cause I find it a lil lonely otherwise. Hey, if you enjoy it, I say go right ahead, and take other fun people with you! It’s harmless festive fun, and dang it, I think that’s acceptable enough! Happy Halloween in advance by the way!
