Sometimes I think about the thread of "terms that jumpscare AO3 users" and, as an environmental scientist, I would like to contribute:

In pedology (dirt science), there's something called the Permanent Wilting Point, and I've had to watch my prof write "PWP" on the board with a straight face on numerous occasions

bad news: my friend's christmas present won't make it to his place for another month+

good news: that means he'll be away at uni when it arrives. he's gonna know it's there and not know what it is until he goes back. i get to laugh at him.

genuinely, "blorbo from my shows" has yet to leave my vocabulary. "skrunkly" and "blorbo" are simply irreplaceable. there is no other word for that pathetic wet man than "blorbo" and he is sourced from my shows.
