I am going to use the power of being both a nerd and an artist to figure out which specific species of animal the Sonic characters are and redesign them so they look more like that. Anyways here's all the species I have so far:

Sonic: long eared hedgehog

Tails: ezo red fox (this has more to do with headcanons but still)

Surge: lowland streaked tenrec
