Ive Been Creating Default Replacements Of Various Things (going To Share Them Soon!) For Three Days Now,

I’ve been creating default replacements of various things (going to share them soon!) for three days now, so it was pretty nice actually going in game. I haven’t played for years, and I miss it so much. I long for the time when I’ll be done with my neighborhood so I can finally start playing :’( which will be in like 10 years

Hahah yeah! @jellymeduza helped me (thank you very much again!) make the steam stop after a while though, so that’s an improvement :-D

Uneven texture sizes are fine, both just have to be in the 2048 scale table (so anything from 32x32 to 2048x2048) and the game can read it!

Oh nice, there wasn't really a good DR for this when I was looking for one!
Ikr? I’ve been using psychosims’ DR here but the shoes were.. a questionable choice :pp (still better than EA’s though) and I would like the colors to pop a little more so I decided to make my own default. I’m happy you like it as well! Shouldn’t take too long before I share it.

I've only made custom foods so I'm not sure I can help much but a couple of things - where it's referring to $namelocal and so on, in custom foods you just put the name of the food there. You could try that with your new names maybe? The $***** bit is referring to a called string which must be stored somewhere else. With careers for instance $me will call the sim's name.
thank you for explaining! that was actually what I was thinking it meant, but then I was like: “shouldn’t it automatically use my default’s name then?”
if I do extract the text list and replace NameLocal:0 to “hot dog” for example, won’t that perhaps change every food’s name under group meals? but I’ll give it a try!

EA’s pet toy stick is one hell of a blurry stick. Idk why it bothered me so much, I just had to try and “fix” it. The original texture is 128x32px, my new texture is 256x32px. In other words, not that much of a difference in size. I think I’ve read that you shouldn’t use ”uneven” texture sizes like that in ts2 [...} (thank you @2fingerswhiskey for clarifying!)
Remember you can only have one default replacement for “accessorypettoystick_txtr” in you downloads folder at a time :-) If you encounter any issues, let me know!

I'm thinking 'namelocal' might - only *might* mind you - be a name in the food file itself. You might try it and see if it does have the effect you think of (after all that's how we find out how much of this stuff works).
Thank you for the reply! I gave it a try and it did change every name under “group meal” unfortunately. I completely forgot to mention this, but I didn’t use the object workshop to create my default replacements because it didn’t extract all necessary files so I decided to extract them all myself instead. The text list I posted a screenshot of here was a text list I found when searching around in SimPE after anything containing “group meal” :p thank you very much for trying to help!
