Angel was always careful. They knew a lot of places to hide. Where no one could find them. Not even Demon.

But this time, it was different. They wanted someone to find them, to help them. They knew it's impossible. Nobody came, nobody cared.

While lying on the ground and unable to move, unable to care for their wounds, they think that there is no more. The Other Demons were not joking. They didn't stop. And Angel hardly managed to escape.

So they wait... Wait for death, for relief, for the pain to go away.

"Angel…"

It must be a dream. They're hearing voices.

"Angel… Are you alive…?"

No... They hope not...

Why is this voice is so familiar? Are they imagining things?

Angel opens their eyes. A blurred figure stands next to them. A familiar figure... Demon.

They instinctively cringe, try to defend themselves but fail.

"Hey, it's okay... I'm not going to hurt you. I promise..." Demon's voice is soothing and surprisingly kind. Angel's body relaxes and they close their eyes again. "You have to sleep, so I can heal you, alright?" Demon slowly starts caressing their cheek. Angel trembles at the soft touch. They're not used to anything like this. "I'll help you sleep..." Demon starts humming softly. They voice is as soft as their touch. Angel begins to fall asleep while listening to Demon's song.

They know this song, but they've never heard it before from a demon. It's different...

Angel feels as the pain passes and it becomes more and more difficult for them to stay awake.

They look at Demon again. They feel strangely safe...

They close their eyes and fall asleep next to their enemy, in a place where they're not supposed to know about.
