i have spent my evening looking through a wikipedia list of last words and need to share some of them with you. they span from beautiful to creepy to morbidly funny.
let's start with the beautiful ones.
the idea of someone dedicating their life to birds and just wanting to be buried where they sing is so beautiful yet heartbreaking to me. i can't fully explain it.

now something pretty creepy in my opinion. while i saw many last words about "returning home" or feeling at peace, this scares me to be honest. wheter you believe it's something supernatural or he was hallucinating, i feel it would be horrible to see someone you don't recognise and no one else sees.

oscar really had a sense of humor it seems. i like it.
now.
"why did i do that" after throwng yourself out a window? i understand. i haven't done things to that extent, but i understand that thought process.
asking "what's the time" before hurling yourself off a ship? absolutely feral. i strive to be that unpredictable (minus the dying part).

asking people to burn your "indecent poems and drawings"? peak artists experience. we all know there's that folder of things noone should ever see.
and then. telling someone to mind their business when they ask you about shitting? understandable. just because your dying doesn't mean they have to be nosy. good on you for setting boundaries.

unfortunate.

obsessed with people basically being annoyed at others asking about their health and dying to prove a point.

this last one is not funny in and of itself, but i love how it's phrased. "i'm mortally wounded" - dude who was mortally wounded.
some honorable mentions: i saw one about the daisies growing on them now. that was beautiful. also reading how many people call for their parents just brought tears to my eyes.
take figures out of their boxes btw. sew patches on your favorite jacket. go to bed with your favorite plushes. wear the pants you usually save for special occasions. draw something cool on your wall. put a sticker on your laptop. dye your hair and pierce your lips. glass is meant to break, metal is meant to rust. items are meant to be used. that's how the world knows that somebody loved them.
“Sometimes it was hard to express how much you loved someone. You said the words, but you could never quite capture the depth of it. You could never quite hold someone tightly enough.”
— Diane Chamberlain
