here my thing with the 'travis is misogynistic' argument or whatever. while i dislike using the 'product of his time' bc it sounds like an excuse... it is true. esp w his father figure. BUT. even so. the way some people talk as if thats like.. his whole character is. really weird. his sexism wasnt even an overarching plot point in s1. it was just a trait he had, showcased in a handful of lines. and even then, all of that seized by 1x09. his displays of misogyny die out before the first season even does, and by season 2, hes fully involved with and respectful towards the group. pretending that hes some raging misogynist to fuel and justify ur hatred for him is really strange considering its only a tiny aspect of season 1. where are the think pieces of taissa and jackie having internalized misogyny? i mean, they were really comfortable slut shaming natalie. but u wont see anything about that bc, like travis, those encounters were brief and confined to one half of season 1. do u hate on misty for trying to drug ben w the clear intent to assault him? no. do u hold virtually ANY of the girls accountable for their unjustified actions? or do u just like to hate travis? im not even a travis stan! i barely care about him! but the way u guys hype the girls for problematic shit that progresses, but hate travis for something that was only featured a handful of times in season 1, is weirdddddd. travis's growth was a great little subtle side story that we silently see unfold. one that didnt delve into his sexism but instead lets us see him gradually become ingrained with the women around him. maybe lets not discredit that lol

I know I’ve told you this one but all time favourite travnat hc is that (Transfem Travis yall) watched Heathers together and Travis named herself after Veronica.

Lottie and Travis study together while Nat sleeps. Like college au. Nat works a late job, and Lottie and Travis are in college. Travis for fashion and Lottie for business.

Travis’ favourite place to kiss Nat is on the check and Lottie on the forehead. Lottie favourites is Nats palm and Travis back of the hand. Nat likes to press kisses onto her hand and then onto their shoulders, neck or mouth.

Every year at Halloween Travnat makes gingerbread houses to remember Javi. He like Halloween the most but favourite holiday activity was making ginger bread houses.

Lottie and Nats favourite thing to do is go on walks and look at all the dogs they see.

Every year for Laura Lees death anniversary Lottie and Nat go to her grave and Nat reads a bible passage out loud and then they sit around and tell Laura Lee about things they think she’d like that she never got to see.

I've grown tired of posts that 'affirm' queer sexuality that throw asexual queer people under the bus. I'm tired of puritan sanitisation being blamed on the boring sexless frigid queers and not the long history and system of sexual puritanism which, spoiler alert, never supported sexless queer people ace or not regardless. I'm tired of 'progressive' compulsory sexuality being promoted and supported with a 'oh yeah some people are ace' slapped in at the end. I'm tired of every single post about how the sexless uwu pink sapphics and flowercrown gay boys or whatever scapegoat we're picking today is causing the downfall of the community and representation and not y'know, actual lesbophobia, homophobia etc. I'm tired of everyone assuming to be an asexual and/or sexless queer person means being white, feminine, delicate and soft because they can't imagine Blackness and masculinity as something compatible with being ace and/or sexless. I'm tired of asexual and/or sexless queerness being acknowledged as long we accept we're a niche minority and different from 'normal' and 'real' queerness. I'm tired of every recognition of asexual queerness being adlibbed with 'this is valid but remember most queer people are NOT like this' 'you're valid but remember the real queers fuck and we're not boring like these lot!' because the idea of a lesbian, gay, bi, pan or trans asexual is that uncomfortable and 'bad representation' for people to comprehend apparently. I'm tired of asexual and sexless being used as insults to attack other queer people and characters who 'fail' to live up to their queerness. I'm tired of queerness being that needs to be lived up to in the first place and not just something you are. I'm very tired of every post that's supposed to affirm my identity always degrading the other. I'm tired of being an other in a group of others.
