I fixed the vlog and turned it into what the fandom really wanted

person at the garrison: who are those three over there?

person number two : them? oh, they’re kind of like the garrison’s very own golden trio. all of them are scary smart.

person number three: pidge is a complete tech wizard, and i’ve heard that hunk once made a robot using only a magnet, a cracker, some toothpaste and his left sock.

person number two: lance is a different kind of smart, but don’t let his flirty attitude fool you. that dude is a wicked strategist, and can think incredibly fast in tense situations.

person number one: oh wow. they sound pretty intimidating.

person number three: yeah. i’d probably be terrified if i had to hold a conversation with them.

meanwhile, at the garrison trio table

hunk, who has been staring at his peas in a trance-like state for the past ten minutes: do you guys ever think about how peanuts are just nutty peas? i mean, they basically have the same…hardware structure?

pidge, mumbling to herself: peanut hardware. peaware. hardnut. nut hard.

lance, laughing so much that the water he previously drank comes out of his nose: ohmygod you said nutty, pidge he said nutty and i’m dying-

My (day late) assessment of Lances vlog and rant about his character arc

Okay so as much as I enjoy Lance and his personality I can’t help but feel like his character arc is kinda neglected. In season 1 Lance was shown as this cocky and flirtatious guy and how he didn’t really show much... idk how to explain. Anyway we’ve seen how Lance matured a bit in season 2 and even more in season 3. Yet once again in season 4 he kind of went back to ‘Loverboy Lance’ yet he still was sort of mature.

Okay so on the topic of Lance... his vlog. What even DreamWorks? Seriously as previously mentioned, Lance is so much more than that. Look back to Keith’s vlog where we saw some (rather important if you ask me) development in who he is as a character. Allura’s even showed how her trust in the paladins has grown immensely; so at least it contributed to her arc. (I’m sorry I don’t really remember much from Coran’s vlog) Idk I just feel like the vlog is out of its time..? Like it’s a more watered down version of Lance.

Don’t get me wrong, I believe that his character arc will grow and become stronger with time and the vlog did show a bit of interesting things (or maybe I’m just looking into this too much idk). However I just felt I should give my opinion even if it wasn’t called for.

But in season three Lance is able to get through to him so much easier and he even ends up confiding to him because he feels really guilty about what he did
