After the death of the Old Kraken, Loron Greyjoy, King Rodrik is claimed to have won Bear Island from the ironborn in a wrestling match and awarded it to House Mormont, although some maesters question the authenticity of the story. Rodrik’s sons and grandsons battled the ironborn for Cape Kraken.

I’ve always been really touched by the way that Jon Snow protects and champions those who are not considered “worthy” of consideration in the Night’s Watch. In canon, this reveals him to be a progressive leader. However, in my own personal daydreams of Jon Snow and Satin, I do see romance between them. I think that Jon would feel guilt over it though, since Satin is his squire and he would be worry that any romantic feelings he has for him would be unwelcome and would also endanger Satin’s success- since people already believe that he is only his squire because he is his “boy, pet, whore.” This sentiment is revealed when Ser Malegorn doesn’t allow Satin to escort Queen Selyse to the feast in A Dance with Dragons. These complicated feelings are what I was hoping to convey in this gifset.

The last of the high lords to enter were his uncle, Benjen Stark of the Night’s Watch, and his father’s ward, young Theon Greyjoy. Benjen gave Jon a warm smile as he went by.

Benjen gave Jon a careful, measuring look. “You don’t miss much, do you, Jon? We could use a man like you on the Wall.”

Jon swelled with pride. “Robb is a stronger lance than I am, but I’m the better sword, and Hullen says I sit a horse as well as anyone in the castle.”

The Prince of Dragonflies shipped DunJen so much he cast aside the canon, and Westeros paid the bride price in discourse. All three sons of the fifth Aegon wed for love, in defiance of their father’s ships. And because that unlikely blorbo had himself followed his heart when he chose his OTP, he allowed his sons to have their crackships, making bitter antis where he might have had fast mutuals.
