Crime Time!!!

Hi! It's been forever since I've written something, and for that I am sorry. I've been in a bit of a creative rut lately. But fear not! I am writing again!

Everything hurt. Nothing felt right anymore. Peri felt heavier, more solid than he ever remembered being. His wings were gone, so was his crown. It burned, the loss of parts of him he thought would always be there. He didn’t have anyone anymore. His parents, his godkid, his brother, he was all alone.

It took a while for Peri to come to his senses. He wasn’t quite sure where he was, but the ground was rather filthy, and the buildings quite tall, so it was safe to assume he was in a large city. Maybe even Dimmadelphia if fate had been so kind.

Peri wobbled as he slowly stood up, his hands bracing against the dirty brick wall of the building next to him. He glanced around the alley that he had been unceremoniously dumped into. It was just an alley. And one Peri wanted to get out of as soon as possible. If there was even a chance of finding Dev and Hazel again, Peri was gonna take it.

As the former fairy goes to take a step, the light in the alley is suddenly cut off by the shadow of a person; menacingly standing in the alley entrance.

“Hand over everything you’ve got,” A voice growled, and Peri, who had absolutely nothing; nothing, but perhaps a hug, shivered. Did he want to lose a hug? No. No he did not.

Peri promptly burst into rambling tears, about how he didn’t have anything except one hug, but he didn’t want to lose it and could this man pleaselethimgo-

“Woah, woah, hey- I, uh, I’m not gonna hurt you,” The person slowly approached Peri, now a pathetic pile on the ground. “Are you- Are you okay?”

Peri shook his head. He was very much not okay and had just lost everything he’s ever known. He didn’t know where he was and he didn’t even have anything to give this random human-

“Um. You’re not looking too good. I can call you an uber or something,”

“I don’t have anywhere to go,” The would-be mugger froze. He mumbled under breath for a minute before setting a hand on Peri’s shoulder.

“I can get you something to eat, or drink? Help you look for a hotel or something?” Peri sniffled miserably.

“I don’t have any money,” There was a moment of silence in the alley as the mugger sighed and dragged a hand down his face.

“That’s fine. I’ll get you some food, you can call whoever you need to call, and I’ll only leave once you’re all settled. Sound good?” Peri nodded and let himself be helped out of the alley by this complete stranger.

The two wandered into a nearby cafe. It was somewhat empty, with no line and only a few of people sitting at different tables

“How do you like your coffee?” The mugger asked, staring at the menu. Peri hummed as he considered.

“I like it with more cream and sugar than anything else,” The mugger nodded and approached the counter, ordering for the both of them. He returned to Peri with a cinnamon roll and handed the pastry to him.

The pair found a table and sat, waiting for their drinks. Peri had yet to take a bite of his roll by the time their coffee was ready.

The mugger, Peri should really get his name, retrieved the drinks. It was at this time Peri finally took a bite of his cinnamon roll.

As a fairy, Peri was completely unfamiliar with human confections. But this? This was a marvelous treat that rivaled fairy food in every way! He scarfed down the roll until it was nothing more than a collection of crumbs, barley even paying mind to his coffee.

It was a laugh at the other end of the table that snapped Peri out of... Whatever had just happened.

“Take it you were pretty hungry then?” Peri’s face flushed.

“Uh... Yeah. It was a good pastry,” Peri took a sip of his coffee, refusing to look at the mugger sitting across the table from him.

The rest of their time in the cafe was spent in relative silence, up until the coffee was gone.

“So, how exactly did you get stranded here?” And- How exactly was Peri supposed to answer that? Because every part of that story would make him sound like a lunatic.

“I’m not quite sure. It was a whole lot of small things, and then I was here,” Which, was probably about as close to the truth as Peri could get. The mugger sighed.

“If you’re okay with it, you could stay with me until you get back on your feet,” Huh. Maybe this human wasn’t so bad.

“That sounds good,”

And that is what led Peri and his would-have-been mugger, who he should still get the name of, to a run down apartment complex a couple blocks away from the cafe. Peri did not like the walk. These legs were not meant for all this activity. He spent the majority of the trip being helped by his new friend.

After the door was unlocked, the human opened it with a flourish. The apartment did not look any better inside than it did out. But Peri was in absolutely no place to complain, given that it was either here, or the streets.

“It’s not much,” The mugger said as he dropped his keys in a tray and slid off a backpack Peri had only just now noticed. “But it’s home,”

Peri missed home...

Does fairy Timmy ever miss his human friends like AJ and Chester?

Timmy hasn't thought about his human friends since leaving the human world. Or, rather, he's never thought of them since becoming a Fairy!

Timmy has other friends to hang out and spend time with! Friends who will be with him for centuries and centuries!!! He likes going out with his coworkers after work, to relieve some stress. Cosmo shows up sometimes for some reason.

Timmy usually has to call Anti-Cosmo to be Cosmo's Designated Flyer back home.

Sound like he’s very peeved about it! Da Rules has been a thorn to Dev’s side ever since he couldn’t wish his teacher to stop wearing the obnoxious bedazzled glasses he wore on fashion day during spirit week.

Because apparently, it's against Da Rules to wish someone's glasses away if its a fashion statement.
