Another Brick In The Wall

Another Brick in the Wall

Believe it or not, for a while this was my most viewed video on YouTube. That is, until I started uploading my Dark Matter music videos. Actually, to this day my Dark Matter videos aren’t even as popular as that silly Pac-Man animation I did in 2008. Weird.

Creep

This was my first music video when I tried to feature other instruments. The keyword here is “tried.” As it turns out, playing multiple instruments on a song is more than just recording yourself in different locations trying to play the same song with no sense of tempo.

Time

I think I had a little too much fun with the editing on this one.

The Lonely Man (The Incredible Hulk Theme)

Watch 13-year-old me butcher one of the most beautiful instrumental songs of all time!

Side note: back when I was a kid, I used to love that Hawaiian shirt. Seriously, I would wear it nonstop. I eventually outgrew it, and realized soon enough that Hawaiian shirts look nerdy and I don’t need any help looking nerdy. :P

Your Song

This one is actually kind of close to me. Elton John was my godfather Charles’ favorite music artist, and Your Song was his favorite song, so I dedicated this one to him. Charles wound up dying in 2012 of cancer, which felt really bad, and I can’t play this song anymore without tearing up.

Uncle John’s Band/Crazy Little Thing Called Love

And now you get to see my first recorded guitar solo in all its underwhelming glory! As John Cleese says, “I got better.”

This was a video of a performance I did at my godfather Charles’s house on a July 4 party. With my is Doug Campbell, who later played guitar on my original song “I’m Myself.”

And no, I don’t know what led me to combine the Grateful Dead’s “Uncle John’s Band” with Queen’s “Crazy Little Thing Called Love.”
