isn't it interesting how the trio instantly hate warren. they're willing to give literally all the other teachers' lessons a chance (except yellow guy in dreams, but that was different. his friends were gone and he was alone and scared) but not warren. the clock whisking them away on a journey right before their show starts is fine. the computer interrupting their board game is fine. lillie and todney and their weirdness are fine. but fine seconds into warren's song and red guy's muttering "i HATE this guy" to duck.

sure, it's partially just meant to ram in the fact that warren's weird and unlikable, but it's interesting that the only thing that can get them to instantly distrust a teacher is when that teacher barges in on them and challenges their friendship. i've always wondered about the theory that whatever red guy said to yellow guy after he forgot the password, the censored stuff, was actually lighthearted and warren censored it to make it seem terrible so he'd have an excuse to interrupt them, but it kind of makes sense- red guy and duck seem confused at warren's assertion that they're "bad friends" and seem to dismiss him out of hand without even listening to his song the whole way through. it'd also give more meaning to "hey, c'mon, we don't hate you, that's just the worm in your brain" at the end- warren (the worm) really was the one who made yellow guy think his friends hated him. it was a matter of miscommunication. the trio are instantly hostile towards warren because he did something they weren't okay with under any circumstances- question their friendship.

The problem with the lgbtqia+ community

In light of Jaiden Animations new video, there are some things that I want to bring to light.

First of all, there has been a LOT of arguments on some of the things in said video. For starters, people were complaining that the toothpaste mlm flag was in the background. And secondly, some members of the aroace community were saying they felt attacked if they identified as loveless or other identities.

But here's the thing.

THIS. IS. NOT. ABOUT. YOU.

All of that video was Jaiden's own personal experience and beliefs. She tried to use general terms because she knows a good majority of people don't know diddly squat about the aroace identities.

This is HER story. HER coming out video. And you all NEED to respect that.

I'm a big believer in not defending famous people online, but as someone who's aroace and has seen a lot of problems within the lgbt community, I have to address this.

I spent an hour trying to research why the toothpaste flag was bad and I STILL cannot find a clear answer. So maybe don't try to attack her for putting it in like, 3 frames, when there's so much debate surrounding it.

You cannot expect everyone to be completely informed all the time. Let me tell you, I've become worn out in the past trying to keep identities and orientations straight because they are CONSTANTLY changing. People have attacked and gatekeeped those who use certain labels all the time, but it's sometimes hard to find out why. So do not get mad at someone for small errors for labels they don't even use.

Also, for the loveless aros and those under smaller umbrella terms, I do not think she was calling you "monsters" if you don't feel much platonic emotion or empathy. She was trying to address that stereotype to the best of her ability because it's such a common one towards aroace people, that they're not human due to their lack of love.

Jaiden specifically brought to light the divide in the queer community when it comes to aro and ace members. So I really don't think she'd want to exclude people who fall under the umbrella terms, who have similar experiences to her own.

At the end she states that there's a lot more to learn, and seeing some of the reactions in this community, clearly we have a lot to learn as well. It's confusing and it's all such a wide spectrum. The core of lgbt identities is that your feelings and experiences are valid, if you ask me. But if we nitpick and exclude others on purpose, we can never become supportive and understand to one another.

As Jaiden said, "I just hope you can be nice."
