can’t stop thinking about this one time I was explaining to someone how I don’t feel sexual attraction and they were so perplexed as to how I knew that without having sex. like, I know being asexual does not equate to being afraid of sex for the entirety of its definition, but do you make someone who’s afraid of heights jump out of a plane? someone who’s afraid of the ocean go deep-sea diving? lock someone who’s afraid of the dark inside of a room with no lights? no, because you do not have to prove your fears to people, since they inadvertently understand its core nature without forcing it to be justified.

one thing that I currently love about my online dnd group is that we’ve all turned to using emojis to describe how a character looks. it’s no longer “he uses puppy dog eyes” and is instead “he looks like this 🥺”. no more pressing mouths into a thin line or looking unamused, no, instead now we send a 😐 into chat. rather than saying someone arched an eyebrow, we just describe them as doing the rock eyebrow thing. we’ve simultaneously evolved and also share one braincell
