to me, edyn will not be a villian. she’s just so fucking angry. if she kills the elders, takes down the entire damn capital, she wouldn’t be a villian. because can you imagine? can you imagine watching this absolutely amazing kid, your little brother, be torn apart and destroyed for something he never asked for? can you imagine watching him come home more and more lifeless the few times you’re allowed to see him, because your parents gave him up to your people’s government to train for some prophecy that just leaves him a shell of himself? can you imagine hearing one day that that kid is never coming home again and having no idea if he’s even alive? and imagine seeing him months later with a wobbly smile on his face and realizing he could’ve been happy the whole time if the undersea had just left him the fuck alone in the first place? because i get it. edyn won’t be a villian to me when she tears those people down. she’s an older sister with righteous rage making them pay for hurting her little brother.

One sec I just had a diabolical thought.

Does edyn even know that gillion's in the black sea now? Like maybe but also Noone brought it up when they met. Like I think we all pretty much agree she's about to burn it all for gillion. Probably killing the elders (and possibly taking revenge on the gods idk) and will have the power of the navy on her side. But if the navy knows all about this black sea and how pirates went there and gillion's a pirate that was monitored I think and he's goin to the black sea and his conch is gone and she doesn't know why-

You see where I'm getting? She lost him again. In the black sea of all places, he promised to be in the war but he isn't, he is in a dimension unreachable and fighting on the grounds of certain death. He's fighting for his friends but in her eyes he's still fighting for that stupid fucking destiny and even if not. I don't remember if he mentioned going to the black sea in his voice call or not, but if he didn't then edyn'll have to find out in a war. But if he had, then she's been possiblly panicking to stop him. Or, and this my favorite option, she still knows how to get him back from there but that escape plan probably doesn't include who's with him. So.

hiii, do you have any refs for the leviathan from your animatic? if anything, do you have a size range? i'm trying to calculate size based on the one image alone and im struggling <3

okay so the animatic was a pretty last minute idea so things didn't get a ton of time concept/design wise

but i do have this sketch of what we agreed the full body leviathan looks like roughly. the little red speck for size comparison. i hope this helps!
