My Headcanon For Lawrence And Ren's Relationship
My headcanon for Lawrence and Ren's relationship
At first, Ren saw Lawrence as a friend, but over time he began to get closer to him, turning into an obsession. Lawrence didn't know this, of course, but became aware of his strange attitudes as the relationship progressed.
They both watch anime and other types of movies. Although Lawrence doesn't like anime, he respects Ren's tastes.
As much as he didn't know about Ren's dark past, Lawrence has never asked or even been curious about his past, despite having seen his scars under his clothes several times. He prefers not to say anything because he doesn't want to hurt his friend.
Ren is afraid that Lawrence will abandon him at some point, given his trauma related to the Strade and the entire trajectory he has traveled for two years in the house.
Ren knows the river, but he couldn't tell if what his friend was saying was real or the effect of the drugs he was taking, even though he saw him diving into the water every day.
Ren often has nightmares and, when he can't sleep at night, he calls Lawrence to come to his house or talks to him on his cell phone to feel comfortable and safe.
Lawrence has never harmed Ren, although his morbid thoughts lead him to commit petty crimes against him, as in the case of his frequent obsession.
From time to time, Lawrence gives Ren flowers and, even though he is shy, he shows them as a sign of affection, both to please him and to strengthen their relationship.

I don't know why but I feel that Chainsaw Man is a true Freudian psychosexual story, where the protagonist has a very strong Oedipus Complex in the first part and in the second tries to gratify his desires without finding a reason to do so, other than to fill his emptiness.
Denji and his "mom"

Chainsaw Man? No. Chainsaw Monet.
Ren and Lawrence give me Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy vibes because one is a normal person that falls in love with a crazy psychopath who turns exactly like him but then treats him badly and the other is a solitary guy who likes plants and collects them in his apartment.

I was inspired by Norman Bates and Angela Baker characters to make Ashley (and a bit of HABIT too) + I forget to put her height that is 155 cm (5'1").
Ashley was born in 1984, being seven years younger than Ralph. The Jennings family was very united, giving affection and love to their children in addition to the respect they had for each other. However, his parents suffered a serious traffic accident, leading to their death. Ralph and Ashley weren't there because they were in school during the tragedy.
Both were taken to an orphanage because they had no other living relatives, until Ralph turned eighteen and took his sister with him, living in a small house next to other suburban ones. However, Ralph started to drink and sometimes hit his frustations on his sister, spending his time out there and making match with others girls.
Ashley has no friends or anyone she feels comfortable talking to, not even her brother. Remaining completely empty inside, she developed an “imaginary friend” who she named Leigh, who was, in reality, a new personality of hers. From time to time she spoke and muttered to herself, changing her behavior and reaching the ears of neighbors who felt uncomfortable with her presence.
Ralph was stressed with this, but before to pay a furious discussion, in the next day, he was found dead behind of his house. She was arrested for being the principal culprit of the crime, internalized on psychiatrist hospital for minors like her. Ashley never speaked about the crime or what made her to kill Ralph, but she always say it was Leigh who made this.

I love so much Dreamworks's animations
