Imagine asking Alec to be your valentine

“How did you convince me to do this!?” You cried in nervous laughter as Carlisle laughed. The Cullen’s had convinced you to ask Alec to be your valentine. You two were the equivalent of childhood sweethearts after all. You were incredibly close and Carlisle had no doubt that Alec would internally melt at the gesture. Not to mention it was funny watching you be so nervous. You had the card in a red envelope along with a slip of paper with a question. “Will you be my valentine? Yes or No” Carlisle pulled up in front of the castle. You took a few hyperventilating breaths. “Okay I’m just gonna run up there and go for it.“ “Make us proud!” Carlisle called with a grin as you got out the car and jogged up to the entrance, peering around the door.

All clear, you had thirty seconds before he’d come looking for you. He’ll know you’re there round about now. You went up to the receptionist. “I need you to give this to Alec.” You wheezed passing the paper to her. She stared blankly. Oh no, what is she didn’t understand English!? Then she nodded. Phew. At that moment Demetri and Felix turned the corner and was heading up to your direction. “Gotta go!” You ran out the doors and sprinted to the car jumping in and sinking into your seat, head low.

“Hurry up! Drive! Drive! Drive! Drive!” “What happened?” Carlisle asked. “Driveeee!” You pleaded as you got lower as you saw Felix and Demetri peering out the doors and Carlisle drove away.

That evening Alec held the red envelope in his hand, head tilted. He tore it open and a bit of paper fell to the ground. He picked it up before flicking the card open with his hand. “If you say no, then I’m drunk. If you say yes, I’ll think you’re drunk.” He briefly smirked. He loved your humour, it was ridiculous. He then looked at the paper in his hand with your question. “Idiot.” He spat before grabbing a pen from his desk and circling the paper and writing on the card before inserting them into a new envelope, this one being white and demanded that the receptionist sent it as a matter of urgency.

You’re hands slightly shook as you opened the envelope. Your letter and paper was inside. Did he just hand it back? You opened the letter to find ‘yes’ circled. Your face turned red and wore a goofy grin. You then checked the letter to see cursive that put yours to shame. However you could barely read it. “You don’t even have to ask!” You held the paper to your chest with a relieved smile.
