I would die for this catboy, with no hesitation or regrets

One of my biggest dreams is to direct Hamlet. I don’t have it all worked out, but there are a few things I have in mind right now. Admittedly, mostly based around Hamlet and Horatio so far.

-in Hamlet’s little “you’re the best ever” speech to Horatio before the play within a play scene, they’d slowly edge closer and closer to each other. Horatio would lean in. Hamlet would awkwardly pull back

-Horatio stays relatively level headed the entire play. He displays emotion on quite a minute level. He expresses it, of course, but he stays quite calm. Until the last scene.

-In the last scene, Horatio just fucking loses it. He is screaming and sobbing, clinging onto Hamlet with desperation. Choking on his own tears. Hamlet is using what little strength he has to wrestle the cup out of Horatio’s grasp. With Hamlet’s last bit of time alive to pull Horatio down and kiss him. He dies mid-kiss.

-Horatio slowly pulls away and whispers his “goodnight, sweet prince” line before kissing Hamlet’s corpse on the forehead. He clings to Hamlet’s corpse with tears running down his face the rest of the scene.

the sheer amount of artistic talent put into these panels to portray the right feeling on clark’s face is amazing
