Even if she was an imposter, the amount of charm she had nearly stolen my heart completely. I would absolutely melt at the chance of dancing with the queen herself.

I'm happy with the fact that you mentioned how she felt lonely because those were always the vibes I felt from her — people saying she's cold never felt like an accurate description for me.

Especially when most of the game she was trapped in that room when Zant invaded. She didn't have any companions, not even a version of Impa with her.

All Zelda's are amazing and deserving of all the love and respect and I hardly see any love for Dusk, which shall not stand (she was done so dirty by the narrative). That's the catch, for the imposter to mimic her so perfectly it would have to know how she actually is no? ;) I'm happy to hear she came across as just as charming as her real self would be in this situation, Reader will eventually get a real dance with her (because turns out I wasn't kidding about the part 2 *hysterical laughter in unifinished draft*)

Oh absolutely, that always was a key fact from her characterization that doesn't get explored a lot, she likely comes across as cold because we only saw her in what was essentially war time and she doesn't really have anyone she can be show to be warm with which doesn't help. It's an alley rife for exploration, on paper Dusk is probably the loneliest of all Zelda's, even Flora had people in her corner, but Dusk in game had no one she could truly confide and be herself with and the few times we see her be more alive is when we don't get to stick with her for long (when she and Link meet, and her sacrifice for Midna), even in the manga when she has that in Midna, it gets taken away from her by politics and old prejudices, I can't imagine the Twilight Invasion and the isolation helped any with that (hence why I gave Twilight as her wingman and bestie, no one can tell me they wouldn't grown close post-game, they're each others emotional support rancher and emotional support monarch beneath all the pleasantries), she needs company and some hugs asap.

Noticed stuff goin around about some people complaining about canon and fanon especially within a fandom. The thing is there's nothing wrong with it. It's a sandbox for people to enjoy what others make, to share and to giggle over about. The characters aren't real, almost all the Links are a blank slate since it's seen as a self insert that even Nintendo confirmed about.

The point I'm trying to say is don't do stuff like this that discourages people from creating what they love especially if that's a hc to them. That's the point of a fandom. If you don't like it, move along. Exit out of the fic. Go somewhere else that'll fit you.

Don't bring a writer/artist down just because you don't like what they made, move along.
