okay so you're the youngest sully sibling being the younger twin of tuk

and not only do your siblings treat you as such ( except for tuk, since she treats you like her twin which means a lot of dumb argument and stuck out tongues )

an attitude that results in overprotection, especially when you decide to join them on dangerous adventures to which you threaten to tell on them if they don't take you ( you have a surprising amount of black mail )

but your parents are so very protective of you and tuk

like i mean when they get those distress signals from lo'ak and he says that you two are there , they go absolutely bonkers

while tuk is infatuated with her big siblings , you're a more reclusive daddy's girl

although you join their adventures, there are quite a few that you choose to sit out on and decide to remain quiet so they can have their fun

instead, you follow jake to all his daily duties and let him show you around

at night, you love to snuggle right up to his chest

you claim that it keeps the nightmares away

the best nights are when it's a little cold out, and you snuggle right between your parents

it keeps you warm and happy

hey !! i'm gonna be completely 100% honest , i have no idea how na'vi pronunciations and accents sound , so this is probably inaccurate.

the way i've been pronouncing their names , though , is with taller vowels.

like fah-lee for fali

vee-eh-oh for vi'ieo

and fah-pa-eh for fpai

imagine the sully family's reaction to y/n and fali's first argument. they're both pouting and incredibly stubborn and their family is just watching unimpressed at how mature yet childish they both can be. and it wasn't even a real fight, just a dumb disagreement but they're too petty to agree to disagree. but alas, they can't stay away from each other too long and when they finally make up, the sully's are STILL unimpressed, like what did they just witness????

“is this a joke?”

four months. it'd been a wild four months of kisses, love, and laughter between fali and [y/n]. a strong four months of perfection.

and now they decide to have their first argument?

kiri stared at [y/n] with an unimpressed look. she’d had to endure the lovey grossness for four months, and her sister decided to burst into the marui fuming.

of course, being the good sister that kiri was, she began to panic and was intent on sitting there to listen to [y/n] every bit of her dramatic emotions. what she did not expect, however, was for the event that sparked her big sister’s large reaction to be one of the stupidest things she’d ever heard.

[y/n] blinked mindlessly at kiri. “what?” she wondered aloud, eyebrows furrowing at her sister, courtesy of her father’s human traits. “no. no, it's not a joke. why would you ask that?” she sounded quite exasperated.

kiri let out an open mouthed laugh of disbelief. “you mean to tell me that this emphasized reaction is all thanks to fali forgetting your favorite color?”

“do not say it like that!” [y/n] yelled, turning around and continuing to pace back and forth across the empty floor. she held her head in her hands, desperate for someone to understand her. “you make it sound childish.”

“that is because it is childish, you skxawng,” kiri retorted with a roll of her eyes. “he was just trying to give you a piece of jewelry!”

“yes, but he gave me a [any color that isn't your favorite color] coral necklace and claimed that it was my favorite color!” [y/n] stopped and stared dead at her younger sister. “he might as well just say ‘i do not care about the minute details.’”

“at least he was trying, sister,” kiri said, sighing as [y/n] still refused to give fali any grace.

[y/n] only shook her head, far too stubborn to admit defeat in any way, shape, or form. the only way she could be convinced that she was in the wrong is if she sat on the argument long enough to come to terms with it by herself.

while kiri knew that, she still did not want to pass up the opportunity to tease her with the rest of the family. the entire sully family had been watching this quite romantic and adorable relationship unfold for months, and, do not tell [y/n] but, the siblings had a bet placed on the details of their first fight.

so far, kiri was winning regarding the time in which it took place, lo’ak was winning the pool that acknowledged who started the argument, and tuk was strong with the subject in which sparked the disagreement. unfortunately, the older siblings all believed that [y/n] and fali were smart enough to only fight about a topic that held actual importance, but tuk knew her big sister all too well.

so, to say that [y/n] was annoyed when kiri left the marui unannounced and randomly reentered with the entire family in tow would be an understatement.

“are you dumb?” was the first thing that left lo’ak’s mouth.

[y/n] groaned from where she was laying, starfished against the floor. “i am not in the wrong!” she declared, although at that point, she was more trying to convince herself.

while the rest of the family let out laughs, neytiri stepped forward with a mischievous smile. “no, no, she is quite right,” the mother pondered. “i mean, how dare her loving fali try and attempt to give her a gift?”

[y/n] sent her a very frustrated stare while the rest of the sullys burst out into another fit of laughter.

“please!” the eldest sully kid begged, sitting up and leaning her weight against her arms. “look, i know it’s dumb, but… he said it was my favorite color!”

“what difference does that make?” neteyam questioned, eyebrows raised. “he clearly tried, at the very least.”

“kiri said that too…” [y/n] trailed, her hand running over her face to clear her mind. after a few beats of silence, she let out a sigh of defeat. “okay.”

the rest of the family narrowed their eyes. “okay?” jake repeated, questioning the meaning behind her tone.

“yes, okay,” [y/n] said, rolling her eyes as she began to get up off the ground. “okay i am going to find fali and apologize.”

at that, tuk jumped up. “hah!” she declared, pointing at neteyam, kiri, and lo'ak. “i was also right about who would apologize first.” she held out her hand expectantly. “pay up, losers.”

[y/n] stared in utter disbelief. “you guys bet on me and fali’s fight?”

lo’ak guffawed at that. “we’ve bet on a lot of things regarding you two.” he paused, thibking for a moment, before he continued and said, “it seems tuk is the best at making her guesses.”

she nodded triumphantly at that. “this is my third time winning.” when her older siblings rolled their eyes, tuk raised her hands. “don't hate me because i’m better.”

with that amusing conversation, [y/n] rolled her eyes and ignored the squabble that started between her younger siblings. instead, she decided to stand up and carefully make her way through the bodies of her family members that blocked her from the entrance.

once she successfully made it out, [y/n] inhaled deeply, taking in the fresh scent of the salty sea that crashed against the rocks. nervously, she took a step forward and continued onward.

she wasn’t sure why, but [y/n] exactly where fali would be waiting for her. not once did she question her instinct, for it was as if a magnet pulled her by the heart towards the rocks in which they’d shared their first kiss.

her heart skipped a beat as she made out the shaded figure of fali. guilt settled in her gut once she recognized the way he stared out at the water, his gaze distant and unbroken.

it was only when she resurfaced behind the rocks and cleared her throat that his attention was pulled away from the horizon, instead drawing his beautiful eyes towards her.

once fali recognized [y/n], his stare softened, an action that thoroughly surprised [y/n]. she did not expect him to be so kind, especially after her dramatic reaction from earlier.

“fali,” she breathed as she pulled herself up and onto the boulder. [y/n] paused when she felt his sight stuck to her face, and her eyes averted to stare out at the sunset. “i’m so—”

she was cut off by the sound of fali grabbing something from behind him. she stared, jaw dropped in shock as tears welled in her eyes at the sight of the [favorite color] coral that was tied onto a new necklace.

“fali—” she stumbled for words, breathless as he silently worked around her and tied the string around her neck. immediately, [y/n] cradled the piece of jewelry in her hand as she fought back a guilty yet also appreciative sob.

fali only smiled at her. “i owed you a better one, anyway.”

[y/n] fervently shook her head at that. “no, no.” she sighed, dropping her face into her hands. “i am sorry. i am sorry for the way i reacted, it was stupid, and childish, and i appreciate any gift that you give me.” she swallowed, shaking her head. “i do not deserve you.”

fali smiles softly. “yes, you do. and you deserve a necklace that actually is decorated with you favorite color.” he let out a breathy chuckle before continuing. “and i am sorry for mistaking your favorite color. even the smallest details matter the most to me, and i should have reflected that.”

[y/n] smiled. “do not fret, dearest,” she teased before pressing a gentle kiss to the top of his nose. “you do reflect that in every action you take to try and make me happy.” she paused, biting her top lip. “and i should be the one to start appreciating it more.”

from a few feet away, hidden behind another set of rocks, a giggle left kiri’s mouth as lo’ak stifled a groan at the sappiness of the couple’s conversation.

neteyam slapped a hand over kiri’s mouth, and tuk grinned brightly.

“you guys owe me so much money.”
