Regular Prompts

1) A comes from a wealthy family while B doesn’t. B’s excited that A is their soulmate but A is annoyed and offers the get the marks removed and pay B a large sum of money for the removal treatments and to keep B as far away from them as possible. 2) A’s always been excited to meet their soulmate and can’t wait to meet them. B’s never believed in soulmates. When they meet A is excited and tells them they’ve always wanted to meet them and that they’re excited to finally start a life with someone. B immediately lets A know they’re not interested and don’t care about the whole soulmate thing. A decides to spend their time convincing B that soulmates are a good thing and that they’re perfect for one another. B tells them they’ll spend a month with them but if they don’t feel anything by the end of it A has to go with them to get it removed. 3) A’s parents keep A isolated from the world for most of their life until it’s time to meet their soulmate. They expect a to move in with and marry their soulmate within the first six months of meeting them because that’s how things go. But when they meet their soulmate and their mark is activated their soulmate, person B, is already seeing someone born without a mark. When A explains that they’re their soulmate B gets an apartment with them but refuses to break things off with Person C. A stays in their room for the most part while B comes and goes. A tries to win B’s heart by cooking and eating dinner with them, but B insists they only moved in with them because they would have been arrested if they didn’t. B tells them to give up but A insists they don’t give up and that they’re going to make B fall for them. 4) A goes to a marking ceremony where they stamp you with the marks based on compatibility, but when A and B get their position in line mixed up they end up getting marked as each other’s soulmate. They don’t get along at all and decide to ask the court if they can fix it. They tell them there’s a removal process but that it takes months and cash. The two work hard and try to come up with ways to get money so they can afford it and when they get half the amount they need they realize they work well together. They laugh about it and decide to just try kissing as a joke or something. But when they kiss it’s intense and they laugh it off until one’s bold enough to ask if the other wants to do it again. When they do the two end up having incredible sex and decide maybe they should put off the removal process for a while so they can earn more money for important things they want and go to their friends weddings and things. But they just keep going to things and agreeing to go to places together that the thought of removal just disappears from their minds. (Bonus if it ends with their wedding.) 5) A is a super villain and B is a superhero. They meet in their normal identities and hit it off really well but keep making excuses to leave and save people or do bad things. They fight all the time but are never too badly injured for the other to notice. It’s only when B is knocked unconscious by something that A unmasks them and panics, quickly making sure they’ll be fine and set them on a roof so no one can find them but they’re able to get up and go whenever they recover. A pretends not to know anything but B is curious as to why their rival hasn’t shown their face in a while. They use their villain persona to invite B to a private meeting and tell them that they want to reveal themselves to them. B is confused but ready to take them in to the police. But when A reveals themselves to be their soulmate things get complicated. 6) A and B are from two different kingdoms and ice kingdom and a fire kingdom. When people are born with a soulmark from the opposite kingdom they are normally killed or their family hides the mark for them so no one can tell. A is the prince/princess of the ice kingdom and B is the prince/princess of the fire kingdom. When they’re born with opposite marks their parents keep their marks hidden. When the two kings meet to keep peace and not start a war A and B join their meal and when they lock eyes they find themselves drawn to one another. When they excuse themselves to do something they reveal their marks to one another and touch hands, realizing they’re unable to hurt one another. They agree to meet at the gate and have long chats about leaving home to be alone somewhere else. But when they leave the two kingdoms go to war and they know if they don’t return people will die. When they return they do so holding hands, exposing their marks and revealing that they love one another. Their parents are shocked but don’t know how to proceed. 7) A is an incredibly famous actress/actor who normally hides their mark to keep people from seeing it, but when it’s leaked in a movie trailer by accident everyone desperately wants to have it. B is a baker who is trying to come up with more ideas for baked goods. When A comes in and sees B’s mark they’re annoyed and act rude thinking they’re a fan who got the mark tattooed like many others have. B finds A incredibly obnoxious and explains they have no idea who they are but politely asks them to leave if they’re going to be rude. A keeps coming back and trying new items while asking about B’s soulmate. B claims that their soulmate is away, which A can tell is a lie. They end up growing closer and A invites B out to a movie premiere which B finds incredibly flashy but they agree because they do want to hang out with A. When it gets to the scene in the movie where A’s soulmark is revealed they look over to see if B noticed but finds them asleep on their shoulder from baking all night to come up with another recipe. A is frustrated and decides to just come out to B and say it, surprising them. 8) (This one’s long so I’ll shorten it here by saying it’s an AU where soulmate marks only form whenever soulmates kiss for the first time.) A is an incredibly famous musician who’s known for being someone who is extremely money, sex, drugs, whatever. Person B is a model or an actor/actress who’s famous but also known for being incredibly professional, doesn’t drink or do drugs and is typically described as a buzzkill. When they’re forced to work together for A’s music video they’re both annoyed. Person A finds B to be uptight and high maintenance and Person B finds A to be childish and annoying. A thinks the song is good while B makes an offhand comment that their songs aren’t as good as they used to be. This upsets A and they leave the shoot telling everyone it’s cancelled while B’s boss tells them to fix it. They go to A’s place to fix it but find A high out of their mind and insisting that B stay and that they can’t call the hospital. B agrees and they listen to A go on about how B was right and that they worked on new songs and they have a moment but when A goes to kiss them B insists it isn’t a good idea. When A comes down they remember everything and the two don’t see each other for a while. But when they meet again to make the music video they find they have to kiss in a bathtub or something. When they kiss for the first time their soulmate marks form on their necks for the first time on camera and the music video ends with them pulling from each other and looking into each other’s eyes as they realize they’re soulmates. 9) A’s a cam boy/cam girl that never shows their face while B constantly gets off too when they’re alone. A and B form a kind of friendship. A’s admits to never being really sold on the whole soulmate thing and doesn’t really believe in it. B admits they do believe in soulmates but they’ve never met anyone with a mark that even looks remotely similar to theirs. A and B eventually start texting and talk about meeting up but never really end up doing it due to being too busy. When B tells them they just got a bonus and tell them they’ll give the whole thing to see their face A tells them they like them and they’ll do it for free if they send one back. They exchange nudes and B notices their soulmark on the back of A’s neck. They immediately tell A they don’t care how busy they are to meet them in person. A thinks it’s just gonna be a hook up or something B just kisses them. A immediately sinks into it and B shows off their soulmark and A tells them they were actually really hoping their soulmate would be B. 10) A and B have known each other since they were kids. They have two incredibly similar soulmate marks but they’re not completely identical. They become close friends and find themselves falling in love with each other as they get older. Neither one is brave enough to admit their feelings until they decide to tell each other on new years. But Person C shows up and their mark is identical to A’s. B is devastated but happy for A. A is unhappy with C but assumes they’re that way because of their feelings for B they’ve yet to get over. A tells C they’re not ready to be intimate and C understands. When A’s wedding comes up A finds them self looking at B the entire time longingly. A tells their family they aren’t really ready to marry C and that they don’t love them but B is the one that tells them it’s okay. As A is about to say yes the ceremony is stopped and A’s mom/dad admits they had A’s mark tattooed to make it different from B’s because they didn’t want B to marry A. While A’s other parent and the crowd are pissed A and B are just running into each others arms and just feel too complete to be angry in the moment.

Regular Prompts

1) A had a bad break up with B but when they remember that B’s got a jealous streak they find C to help them out. C used to be friends with A, and B hated C when they were around A. When A suggests a price or something C insists they wanna do it for free to piss B off since B got them expelled from high school or something for something they did. When B sees C around A they’re distracted and can’t focus around their new partner. But when C’s picking up A and kissing them against a wall B gets more than just distracted and A remembers a previous kiss they had as kids and think they might’ve been together if B hadn’t got C expelled. 2) A’s a thief who gets bailed out by a person B, the ex boyfriend/girlfriend of the person they tried to rob before they got arrested, Person B tells them they’ll pay bail and more if they help them make their ex jealous so they’ll take them back. A agrees and they go out a few times but their ex, Person C, doesn’t seem to be interested in getting them back at all. Person B pays A anyway and tells them they’re just going to go home. Person A tells them no and comes up with a plan. A then successfully robs them and plants the items on Person C’s new arm candy. They continue to do that with each new person until C decides the only person they can trust is Person B. When B and C get back together B’s happy but A realizes C doesn’t treat B right. After watching them tear B down after a bad day A decides to steal one last thing from C, Person B. Person B is hesitant to leave because they’ve been wanting C back for so long, but when A promises a lot of things B doesn’t want to leave. B doesn’t leave until A admits their feelings in front of B and C. 3) A makes the mistake of falling for Person B, someone who only wants what they can’t have. Even though B likes a lot they just wont as them out. A asks C to help make them more desirable to Person B. C thinks that’s a stupid idea and requests money or a big favor for it. A agrees and they start going out, earning B’s attention. A tells B that C’s just perfect and that they’re happy together. This does nothing but drive B crazy and make them want A more. Person B finally asks them out telling them to leave C. A agrees and C tells them they can’t believe they wanted to be with a person like that since they deserve better. A thinks about C more and eventually B finds it hard to be tied down to anyone. A dumps them and tells them they will never have them again, which has B back to being into A. A finds C and C’s drinking by themselves asking if they can date them a little longer. C tells them they’re done faking it and A tells them they’re tired of faking it, earning a smile from C. 4) A and B are sworn enemies but when the loves of their lives are dating each other they decide to date to make them jealous. C and D are having a nice dinner when A and B sit down a few tables away they immediately come over and tell them they know what they’re trying to do and that they’re not even into each other so they should stop trying. But A kisses B passionately and B kisses back until B’s in A’s lap and C and D are like ‘We get it.’ They still don’t believe them but A and B try to have a nice dinner, complaining about the kiss quietly while they have smiles on their faces. When B finds out they’re going back to D’s place they tell A their apartment is right above theirs. When they leave A and B go back to B’s place and hear them talking about them through the floor. B suggests they fake having sex and A tells them that’s a good idea. They fake sex over the spot they’re talking and make up dialogue. C and D still don’t believe they’re together and talk about going up the fire escape to see them just sitting around on the bed. A tells B they need to take their clothes off, which they do super fast as they mess up each other’s hair. C and D catch them in a compromising position and they both fake embarrassment when they see C and D just standing at the window. This does make C and D jealous and A and B acknowledge they’re a good team and they have a moment that they can’t stop thinking about when they’re back with their ex’s. 5) When A’s family can’t stop talking about how B’s doing way better than A and that B already has potential boyfriends/girlfriends, A impulsively tells their family that they’ve got a boyfriend/girlfriend already. They don’t believe A at all and A promises that they’ll bring them to [insert big event here]. A panics and calls C, the most respectable person they know and tells them the whole situation and asks them to pretend to be married to them and then after the event they can 'break up.’ C agrees and since they already know everything about each other they don’t even lie about how they know each other. A’s family is impressed and B can’t believe A could get someone so handsome/pretty who’s also so classy. When A’s family put A down in front of C, C informs them of A’s accomplishments and how great they are. C excuses themselves and after a while the family is wondering where C went and suggest maybe they left because they realized A wasn’t as good as they seemed and that they were just being polite. C comes back in, sweaty and out of breath and proposes to A on the spot, leaving B and the rest of the family speechless. A immediately says yes. 6) When A and B break up before they’re supposed to go on a couples cruise A offers to give the tickets to C and whoever C’s sleeping with at the time. C feels bad and tells them they wanna go with them and the two end up pretending to be together to mess with the other passengers, thinking it’s hilarious. But somewhere along the road of fake dating they realize they like being this close to each other and they like spending time together. They end up sharing a kiss while in front of the other passengers to prove they’re close but end up thinking the other person isn’t feeling the way they do. They realize they’re in love by the time they get home and when C’s about to admit their feelings B shows up at the dock to apologize to A and beg for them back. 7) A and B are crime partners but when they decide to complete a bigger job with the help of their friends they’re sent to play a married couple. Since they work well together it’s easy and soon they even begin acting more like a couple when it’s just them and their team. Eventually they’re forced to share a guest room at one of their target’s houses and it only has one bed. They find themselves moving closer until they’re holding each other. This inevitably ends with them asking each other the question 'What are we?’ 8) When A and B break up A is quick to get with someone else but B takes it pretty rough. When B sees A with C they manage to find D and ask them to pretend to be with them just for one date. D agrees, not really that interested until A and C show up and A laugh telling B that Person D is the worst person to be with because they’re always sleeping around and don’t know how to keep it in their pants. Person D is pissed off by this and decides that they’re going to fake with with B even longer and convince A that they can make a relationship work. Anytime A is around when B and D are together D is extra affectionate and nice and even thought B knows it’s all for show they can’t help but fall for them. When B confesses their feelings D doesn’t know how to react. 9) A is a professor with a student who’s obsessed with them, Person B. When B gets increasingly more desperate for their attention A confesses they’re seeing someone and convince their friend, and boss, person C to pretend to be with them. This upsets B but  they tell A they’ll just have to wait until C slips up so they can have their chance at them. C is annoyed they have to keep up this charade and that B is watching them to make sure they don’t 'cheat’ on A since they’re known to sleep around. A apologizes and they soon end up spending more and more time together until they start feeling things for each other. When B meets someone else, Person D their obsession with A disappears and they become head over heels for D. A and C realize they don’t have to date anymore but find themselves unwilling to stop what they have so they decide to just go on a real date to see if they like it. (The obsession part is meant to be more head over heels, struck by cupid kind of 'in love.’ Not like the scary/creepy/stalkery kind of 'love.’ But it’s up to you on how you wanna write it.) 10) A and B agree to pretend to be a couple to earn a lot of money by playing a 'How well do you know your partner’ kind of game. The winner gets money or a big prize and so A and B spend the whole week asking each other newlywed partner games and everything and basic questions someone would be asked. Over the week they grow close and when they win they celebrate with a trip, now bonding over their earnings they go to a place the other would love and A realizes they like B a lot more than they thought. While they’re talking B realizes they feel the same way but before they can kiss A’s ex, Person C, pops up out of nowhere and brings up some old feelings. Bonus if Person C is B’s best friend and so their feelings make things more complicated, especially if Person C is talking to A about getting back together.

ENEMIES TO FRIENDS/LOVERS IDEAS

Scenarios where your characters start as enemies and end as something else:

Person A is a loner in school and Person B is one of the popular kids who always pick on Person A for no reason. Because of this, Person A despises Person B and assumes that the two of them must have nothing in common. Then one day Person A logs into their fan account where their identity is anonymous (you can choose the thing that they’re a fan of) to see that they have a new follower, Person B.

Person A and Person B are co-workers who hate each other. They’re always competing with each other at work and they’re always getting into arguments. Then one day Person A is leaving an appointment with their therapist when they happen to see Person B waiting to see the same therapist in the lobby.

Person A and Person B were on rival sports teams in high school. After graduation, they both end up unknowingly going to the same college. On the first day Person A gets to their dorm room to find their new roommate, Person B, already unpacking.

Person A and Person B are both actors. They’ve met a few times in passing but they don’t really know each other. Person A comes off as a snob to Person B so Person B has no desire to get to know them. Then they both get cast as love interests in a film and after spending some time together on set, Person B realizes that they were wrong about Person A.

Person A and Person B were best friends in high school until they had an ugly falling out with each other that turned them into enemies. Years later when they’re out of school and have nothing to do with each other, Person A still hates Person B and assumes that Person B hates them too. Then one day Person A gets a giant text message from Person B apologizing for everything that happened between them.

    The sky was exceptionally beautiful today—or maybe it has always been beautiful but you just didn’t pay much attention.

    The gentle rays and the summer breeze were everything you need in the name of seeking calmness. Today was another day of your escapades with Jungkook. His father along with his mother was out of town for some business. Jungkook’s parents have assigned guards and tight security for us but that doesn’t stop us from having our freedom.

    The grass under you moved in steady waves accompanied by the sweet song of crickets and the chirps of birds as you sat next to Jungkook and pulled your knees to your chest, your chin resting on top of them. Jungkook turned his head as he stared at the side view of your face. Your eyes were lost in admiration of the scenery ahead of you.

    “Will you ever leave me?”

    You raised your head at your friend’s sudden question.

    “Hmm,” you playfully tap your chin as if you’re pondering seriously over his simple question. “Maybe not in this life, Kook.” You giggled. 

    It’s a promise, you told yourself. If you were given two options and one of them was leaving him then you’ll choose the other option. Leaving him would never be an option. 

    “Promise?” He asked his eyes that held an entire galaxy looking at you hopefully as he extended his pinky at you.

    “Only if you promise to not leave me.” You told him.

1) “The sun’s out and the water smells not good.” “I know, isn’t it great?” “No. Why can’t we stay inside?” “You have to get sunlight or you’ll probably die.” “I’m not a plant!” 2) “Let’s go swimming, the ocean’s right there!” “Absolutely not! Do you know how many creatures are living in a drop of water from the ocean?” “No because I’m not a nerd.” 3) “I can’t swim.” “You’re a full grown person though. No one ever chucked you in the water and told you to swim or die?” “What? No! Did that happen to you?” “Yeah.” “That’s awful!” “Yeah, but you know what?” “What?” “I can swim.” 4) “My ice cream’s melting!” “Eat faster.” “But then my head hurts!” “Then don’t eat it that fast.” “But then it melts.” “Oh my god, I will drown you.” 5) “I love seeing those big boats all the way out there, they look so small, they make me feel like I’m a woman from the forties waiting for my strong sailor lover’s ship to dock so he and I can spend a magical night together that’ll result in my pregnancy. And he and I aren’t married but he finds out about the baby and promises to make an honest woman out of me, but then he gets called back to the ship and I spend the next few months coming to the beach, rubbing my stomach and wondering when he’ll return. And of course I go into labor and I get upset thinking maybe he’s never coming back and I’ll have to do this on my own. But then he rushes into the room and holds my hand and the doctor delivers our baby and they’re so beautiful, they’ve got his eyes. And he promises to make me the happiest woman in the world and I just whisper back ‘You already have, Robert.’” “Who’s Robert? All I asked you was 'Are those boats out there?’ I didn’t ask for your sailor fantasy story.” “Well, you should have. Maybe you should ask for more stories from me sometime. Regular Prompts

1) A and B are in a relationship and decide to go sailing. A is hesitant because they’ve never been in the ocean and don’t know how to swim. Despite this they go sailing. When they hit bigger waves A falls in and they get dragged by the waves unable to get back in the boat. When the boat is dragged too far away A notices a tail popping out of the water. Thinking it’s a shark they start kicking hard and wildly but when they see a person’s face they freeze completely. The creature introduces themselves as C and gives them the ability to be like them in the water and takes them to their kingdom. A gets so swept away in this world they forget about B for a while until the others mention the surface and A remembers. But by this time C’s really attached to them. They have to decide to either return to the human world for B or stay with C. 2) A goes to the beach and ends up almost drowning while attempting to surf, only to be saved by lifeguard B just in time. B remembers them and constantly asks A if they want them to teach them how to surf. A says no and wipes out multiple times before admitting they need help learning. B helps and is happy to be around A more. 3) A and B haven’t admitted their feelings for each other yet so their friends set up a beach and games, forcing the two to work as partners to win. 4) A and B are on rival teams for volleyball and have been competing every summer against each other. They’re tied this year and once they both make it to the finals it’ll decide who the winner really is since they wont be coming back to play anymore due to them going off to college. They don’t like each other but outside volleyball they spend a lot of time together. After all that time and the competition is over they decide winning isn’t important and share a kiss, both sad to be parting ways. (Bonus if they end up as roommates because they both applied to the same college.) 5) A’s always had a thing for B but B’s never noticed A before until they all go to the beach with friends and A shows up in a bathing suit that looks very good on them. 6) A and B are determined to build a huge house out of sand at the beach even if it kills them. 7) A and B go to a nude beach except they start to notice no one else is naked and A’s starting to feel like they may have taken a wrong turn at that last sign. 8) A and B go to the beach but find dead animals everywhere concluding something isn’t right. When they find people washing up things become increasingly scarier. A brings some of the sand and some of the water to a their scientist friend who informs them that it’s not the sand or water. When strange writing appears and they see a mysterious woman they research her only to find out she’s a sea witch who is angry and that they must figure out a way to appease her or she’ll have to move onto land. 9) A wakes up on a beach but doesn’t know who or where they are. They’re found by doctor, Person B and brought to the hospital and there are no missing persons reports and none of their DNA is in the system. They can’t remember where they live or anything about their past. All A can remember is the ocean and so B takes them back by themselves and soon they’re in the water and that’s how they realize A’s not human and in fact a water dragon. 10) Strange items wash up on the beach and A’s collecting them while B thinks they’re trash. When they realizes all the items fit together like a puzzle it unlocks a message from Atlantis telling them they need help from the human world and they’re immediately transported their and given things to help them breathe underwater. They meet mermaids and eventually help them. When they do they’re given the option to become mermaids like them if they want. (Bonus if they pick this but also decide to come up to the surface for food.)
