I was reading an article the other day that might help you with figuring out print stuff, if you wanted to pursue it. freshrag(.)com/20-places-to-sell-your-art-prints-online-part-three/
Thank you! Sorry for the late response, but I finally took the time to figure out Society6 and I retouched my picture. (I actually didn’t work on it at a super huge resolution at the time, because it was just a drawing for fun, didn’t expect the reception it got at all… … …)
So uh, Magnus prints for sale, I suppose!
Hope this works out for you in terms of being able to acquire a print of the picture. I have never done this before. ;(
ppsssstt. What do you draw with? ((though you probably answered this somewhere)) and how did you do that 3-D-y effect? Its very cool! :D ((BTW i love your art it has super nice lines and things dshagkdhsag
I have not answered this particular question before, because a very small number of people knew about this blog before Mod reblogged my work!
I draw with my hands; in particular my right one and an Intuos 4 Wacom Tablet. If you are asking about programs, I like sketching in openCanvas (the very lightweight 1.1 ver with networking features), lineart in Sai Paint Tool (its nice and crisp, easy to control), and do BG, texture, colors, effects, post processing in Photoshop CS6 (lots of features to toy around with).I can actually make a quick little tutorial on the anaglyph/channel splitting effect, it is very simple to pull off; Let me demonstrate:
Take the picture that you want to apply the effect to,
then duplicate it;
Right click your Duplicate Layer and go to Blending Options, and in the main window, under Advanced Blending, next to Channel, All the RGB options will be checked by default. Uncheck "B". This will knock out the blue channel of the image and only allow the R and G channel colors to permeate through the layer, even on a "Normal" blending mode setting.
Now, duplicate that layer again, but this time, uncheck "R", which will knock out the red channel and only allow G and B to permeate.
Now, you have everything you need to make an anaglyph split. You can take the move tool and move the first duplicate a smidge to the right, and the second duplicate a bit to the left. (or, if you want it to blur in another direction other than the horizontal split, just move them opposite of each other depending on the direction you pick) Then you get something like this;
Hope this helps! Thank you for the kind compliments on my artwork and lines too!
Is it okay if I can draw a human version of Magnus? ^v^
You can! I am quite curious to see your take on him - I have actually given some thought as to what he looks like as a human, so I’ll probably post some drawings soon!
I think the emotional impact of your artwork is strongest out of any artist I've seen. Idk I think that it's just really cool and it makes me think differently!
What! Really?? That sort of comment makes me so happy beyond belief because it’s part of one of my biggest goals as a person who draws; motivating people to think about things differently through my work.
I don’t even think my art has that much emotional impact, but then again I don’t really know how my art looks like in the perspective of someone else!
