When You Really Boil It Down, Joy (to Me) Is About Good Food, Good People To Share It With, And The Beauty
When you really boil it down, joy (to me) is about good food, good people to share it with, and the beauty of the world around us. Also art

100 Days of Productivity - Day 3

Productivity:
• studied history of theatre for 30min
• did speech therapy exercises twice
Self-care:
• drank >3lt of water
• managed to read for a little bit
Today was not a good day. I had one of those excruciating headaches that just won't go away and it hurt so bad I couldn't even read for pleasure. Eventually I fell asleep and woke up (thankfully pain-free) at 8pm so not a lot of time to be productive but I tried.
Looking back at the day my first instinct is to just feel really bad about it. I have to make a conscious effort to remind myself that not being "productive enough" doesn't make me a bad person. Hopefully the more I practice being kind and compassionate to myself the easier this will be but it's still astonishing how deep-rooted those toxic beliefs we grew up with are.
Anyway, today I did my best, and I took care of myself the best I knew how and that's enough.

I love art so much it's killing me.
just a reminder - do NOT boycott streaming services or not watch new things. the unions have not called for one for a reason. for one, it affects residual payments, which as minimal as those currently are, actors are still getting them during this time, and for two, studios will use lack of viewership as an excuse to cancel shows because you are showing them there is no demand. it deeply affects the industry the writers and actors stand to come back to once the strike is over
