I made all kinds of shitty, backwards, obsolete jokes when I used to try to be funny on like 1999 webforums and newgrounds and started doing a gag comic but as I got older and I interacted with more people and was exposed to more conversation, guess what, I stopped finding certain things funny. I didn’t just “comply with political correctness” and keep them to myself. I just ceased to see humor in those things because they were mean for no reason, they didn’t make me happy, they weren’t necessary, they didn’t attract people into my life who were especially kind or enjoyable to talk to and I eventually realized that I only regarded those things as comedy material to begin with because everyone else was doing it and it generated upvotes.
the fantasy world I’m building is part of a very complex star system including a black hole, and has three moons and a ring system. Ancient mythology there is very, very complicated and different from our own.
i’ve talked about this before but like literally the coolest thing to think about is how different our mythology would be if we had different cosmic conditions. binary star system? every single pantheon would have twin sun gods. if they differed or actively changed in apparent size that’d be factored in. multiple moons? you fucking bet astrology would put more of a basis on moon configuration than the stars. saturn-like rings? i’d bet several cultures would assume that was the afterlife or the path to it. how the fuck is this not fascinating

A fresh new commission sheet for a fresh new year! Feel free to DM me for any questions you may have. Signal boosts very much appreciated!
the phrase “geologic snapshot of the apocalypse” might be the most metal thing I’ve ever heard said in the context of paleontology, and the scariest part is how accurate that is.

hey, @bunjywunjy - this might be your jam (and any other dinosaur enthusiasts, it’s a heck of a read)
