Yep, MoM!Sora visited a lot though it wasn't known as Destiny Island at the time, Moana’s people discovered the Islands and they eventually became inhabited. Maui could tell MoM!Sora was a time traveler on sight and was smug for days about being asked for his and Moana’s autograph. I headcanon that the supply list was for a private leaving feast the next day, as for surviving on the open ocean I watched Waterworld religiously as a kid. So at some point, Riku was telling Mickey his life story in the Realm of Darkness, Mickey was quick to point out the seeming logic holes in the Raft plan which backfired when Riku proceeded to explain, in great detail, why it was actually a great plan to the point Mickey now has detailed theoretical knowledge of how to survive on a raft in the middle of the ocean.

Adding a bit of background worldbuilding here. Sora decided to get a tattoo after he returned to Destiny Island because he’d earned one and he’s been wanting one for ages, Kairi, unfortunately, is allergic to the ink and getting specially made ink would take more than a single day. Riku had also decided to get a tattoo but watched Sora go first and rapidly changed his mind.

Sora wanted one of the heartless he’s slain tattooed across his back and had a list of Heartless to chose from ready but was informed that getting one that big now meant it would need touching up later. Kairi jokingly suggested getting a shadow heartless like the adorable one Sora once turned into and Sora decided to get one on his ankle.

Somewhere in Sora’s Heart, Roxas decides there and then that when he gets his own body he’s getting a Nobody Dragoon tattooed across his back and chest. Xion also wants a tattoo but can't make up her mind. Lea freaks out when he finds this out. Ventus thinks Aqua and Terra would yell at him if he chose to get a tattoo and he’s right.

Donald knows better than to go trampling over other people’s cultural beliefs. After Riku pointed out it was cultural Donald didn't protest much though he rightfully protested getting such a large one at such a young age.

MoM!Sora’s Heartless, Nobody and Unversed body art would fill the enemy sections of Jiminy's journal’s, all of them. MoM!Sora also managed to copy how Maui animates his tattoos at some point which is a sight to see when he activates them all.

MoM!Sora is having a bit of a manic episode here in his attempt to look on the bright side as you can tell. His students, his home, the people he knew are mostly dead or destroyed because of him after all.

MoM!Sora knew that Daybreak Town was going to be flipped underwater but Luxu never actually went underwater to investigate it in person so MoM!Sora decided to take a gamble and waterproof the building on the off chance it would be okay, He needed to move the furniture around a bit but now its actually quite comfortable.

Lauriam was in charge of the Dandelions budget in the Data-Daybreak Town, that clocktower didn't have the waterproofing it was actually a glitch MoM!Sora forgot to patch.

So how did you react to seeing young Ven in the age of fairy tales? Also do you think his Chirithy recognized you at all when you were younger?

MoM!Sora is trying to maintain some emotional distance so he can do what needs to be done and is also having a headache of his own regarding timetravel tenses. Ventus’s memory is a complete wreck but Ienzo is working very hard to restore it.

MoM!Sora has no clue if Ventus’s Chirithy remembers him or not which is weird in hindsight because it should know him and should have said something...

Sora figured that he can’t be punished for going against orders if he goes before any orders are given, a combination of Teenage Rebellion and.. actually this is just teenage rebellion.. haha sorry Riku.

Reflect is both MoM!Sora and Sora’s favorite spell.

Fun story, MoM!Sora encountered Sephiroth and the two of them beat each other into the ground with MoM!Sora’s earning a victory, MoM!Sora spared Sephiroth’s life to preserve the timeline.

MoM!Sora then manipulated Sephiroth and set him on Sora by suggesting that he give his fellow Keyblade Wielder a taste of the level he needs to fight at so that someday Sephiroth may have a strong opponent to face in battle.

Sora knows Sephiroth is out of his league but he’s just enough of a battle junkie that he’s not going to turn away from a good fight however that isn't going to save him for being yelled at by the entire Radiant Garden Restoration Committee. My Headcanon: Sora at the very start of Kingdom Hearts 3 can whup all his previous full power incarnations.

Thoughts on "Vanitas is Darkness" theory?

This is what’s happening in this MoM!Sora universe and mirror my thoughts. It’s mostly a mix of headcannons and theories that Nomura is probably going to gleefully disprove in Dark Road and KH4 but enjoy it while it lasts.

In Hollow Bastion, Kairi restored Sora to a human form much like Xehanort’s Heartless Ansem. So for all intents and purposes, Sora was a human-shaped heartless at this point in time.

Only when Roxas was returned to Sora was he human again. But remaining as a Heartless so long left side effects(anti-form) as time past and as Sora strived to regain his lost power anti-form grew stronger too at the same rate. Anti-form kept getting stronger even when Sora lost his own power eventually evolving to Rage Form.

In Dream Drop Distance injuring his heart a bit set Sora back to level 1 but Anti-form was completely unaffected becoming stronger to gain a new name, Rage Form.

Sora went back in time at the end of Kingdom Hearts 3 and it damaged his heart even more causing Rage Form to split off from Sora, though he didn't notice at the time.

At some point MoM!Sora adopted several children who eventually became his students (Foretellers + Luxu) wherein he accidentally taught them to more or less strip mine the Realm of Light of its light, this caused an imbalance allowing the darkness to seep in. MoM!Sora had intended them to gather light in moderation not turn it into a competition.

To be fair he hadn't intended for them to treat gathering Lux as a game they were meant to do it reasonably slowly so the light could grow and eventually overwhelm the darkness completely destroying it.

At this point in time Darkness just was, it didn't think with any agenda it was basically, background radiation causing negative mutations in attitude.

Rage Form skulking in the shadows took the Darkness that had seeped into the Realm of Light into itself acting as the intelligent mind for the mindless Darkness.

Eventually as Rage Form’s (now referred to as Darkness) power increased so did its sapience and it was was eventually wholly corrupted with almost the entirety of the Realm of Lights darkness and began to act its resentment against its former host MoM!Sora, by destroying everything he had created starting spawning real heartless and actively corrupting the keyblade wielders.

Darkness possesses Ava to start the Keyblade War and MoM!Sora finally twigs that Darkness has a Mind and is loose possessing people with an unknown endgame.

MoM!Sora hunts down Darkness (discovering it’s his escaped Rage Form) resulting in many off-screen clashes and much-underhanded murder attempts on each other as possible, but eventually loses the trail.

Darkness at this point has gone into hiding possessed Young Ventus (because he feels familiar for reasons explained later) and used him to murder Strelitzia and hidden away with the Dandelions to escape MoM!Sora's sight causing chaos in the Datascape like helping Maleficent to escape to her own time.

Eventually, Darkness, hidden in Ventus, escapes the datascape but did not know that the memory erasure would also affect Darkness as well as Ventus.

Xehanort picks up on Ventus's potential and takes him in at some unknown point in time, eventually splitting him in two with Vanitas taking Rage Form’s human form and Darkness power with Ventus's own natural darkness added to form the unstable Vanitas (Actually all the Darkness hidden in Ventus’s heart) who looks like Sora because of MoM!Sora. Vanitas is still amnesiac about The Age of Fairy Tales and The Dandelions but Rage Forms nastiness shines through, A Lot.

Ventus's heart seeks healing in the familiar, calling out to his other half and instead contacting young Sora because he feels familiar, like Darkness but much nicer.

The events of Birth by Sleep happen and when Ventus shatters his and Vanitas heart which takes shelter in when Young Sora comes full circle and stabs himself with Kingdom Key in Hollow Bastion his heart and body has a framework to make use of his transformation to create Anti-Form once reunited with a physical body that can be transformed.

MoM!Sora does not post anything after he realizes that his cover has been blown, which will be shown in other Kingstagram accounts.

KH3 - MoM!Sora accidental posts his Kingstagram history In this new timeline, The Darkness regains the Form of Vanitas thanks to Xehanort which is basically Rage Form without the trailing black mist and ran away to plot the downfall of all Light in the Realm of Darkness. Vanitas realizes that MoM!Sora is still in play (for timey-whimy reasons I'm not going into yet) and has likely resumed the hunt for Vanitas as now (thanks to the gummiphone incident) MoM!Sora doesn't have to worry about a paradox he can happily murder the life out of Vanitas to destroy the Darkness, get back his Rage Form and ensure peace for all the worlds.

MoM!Sora while all this has been going on, has been very busy and is rapidly altering his plans to prepares for a new endgame that none but himself knows.

To summarize my feelings on the Vanitas is Darkness theory basically I love it and it features in this AU.

I realize that some characters may be out of character but I'm trying to keep logical character development progression. Also, I answer asks in the order I get them so they’ll be up eventually.

Now I'm going to rest my aching head from trying to explain something in Kingdom Hearts twisted context, owwwww.

Do you have a plan for how to deal with all your friends if/when they find out?

It's a personal headcanon that Namine's memory powers originated from Sora I don't know if Memory of Melody will invalidate my theory or not but I don't care, seriously it’s a rhythm game. (Which by the way, Nomura, WTF?) Now that doesn't mean that I think Sora can manipulate chains of memory like Namine, just that he’s got an undeveloped affinity towards memory magic like Lea has a strong affinity towards fire. (Kairi’s Princess of Heart status basically boosted Namine’s memory affinity to hax levels) MoM!Sora however has had a very, VERY long time to tinker around to experiment and develop all his magic to scary levels and given time and opportunity could rewrite someone's memories and personality wholesale. Unfortunately for MoM!Sora and luckily for the Guardians of Light he cannot use that damage control option as too many people know the truth now and it's digitized and backed up in a place he does not know about so deleting his account would do nothing but tip off the Guardians of Light that he’s still active.

MoM!Sora linked his sight to ‘No Name’ so its basically a one way QEC, Sora’s eyes changed during the fight with Young Xehanort because off all of the temporal magic Young Xehanort was flinging around causing the enchantment on no name to glitch and extend to the other compatible eyes in the area unable to differentiate between Sora and MoM!Sora’s eyes. The temporal energy basically made Sora feel momentarily similar to MoM!Sora to count, so Sora could ‘hack’ the gazing eye and see like MoM!Sora could though it was so brief Sora didn't get sent any visions. I headcanon that this photo was taken by the gummiphone slipping out of one of Sora's normal pockets and almost slamming him in the face and accidentally taking a selfie because he left it out for Jiminy to chronicle the confrontation at the Keyblade Graveyard while he fought.

Riku is stunned at how MoM!Sora’s moral compass seems to just yoyo all over the place from the steadfast Sora he knows.

Larxene or Elrena, she’s still the queen of mean, mostly at Sora because of who he might become(MoM!Sora) and because of how he saved her from being one of Xehanort's Thirteen. Elrena is not above cutting remarks and harsh critisism as she doesn't like ANY version of Sora as she views one version as a genocidal maniac who destroyed the Realm of Light with the keyblade wielding doomsday death cult he started and the other a hopeless kid who could turn into the first version.

Sora is not having a good time and is regretting saving Elrena, he’s also having a crisis of morality because he’s actually seriously regretting saving someone causing him to draw some disturbing parallels between himself and MoM!Sora. So while he is getting help for his canon issues (power-resets and self-confidence) from his friends unlike originally, Elrena and MoM!Sora are now making him question himself (critically questioning his morality and choices over his past adventures). This crisis is, unfortunately, going completely unnoticed by everyone, even MoM!Sora and that's going to have eventual repercussions.

Like Elrena Lauriam is a bit inconsiderate here towards Sora, thinking to exploit the parallels that he sees between Sora and the Master of Masters, wilfully ignoring Sora’s concerns about turning into his future self. Lauriam is not going after his sister yet he’s waiting for an empty replica and right now she’s safe where she is, he’s going to see this MoM!Sora situation resolved first otherwise there might not be a world for her to exist on left.

MoM!Sora’s new plan now that he can't erase inconvenient memories like he originally planned? Here's a hint: No one in all the worlds, light or dark, good or evil, is going to like what he has planned now.

This picture is from youtube footage of the famous Sora eye glitch that caused a surge in ‘Sora is the master of masters OMG!’ videos. (YouTube Search for ‘Sora Eye Glitch’) Having studied 3d animation myself and to the best of my knowledge, I can say this was most likely a deliberate easter egg by the developers as textures cannot warp like that without deliberate coding added. Its generally good game practice to attach the world data to the player model so the data attached to the player model changes the worlds accordingly as they are entered. The fact that this glitch happens on one particular level activated by the actions that specifically show the player models face is something that would take more effort to mess up to appear that way than not. There is a concrete way to tell if its a bug or not though, If a new update patches it then it was a glitch, if it's left there then it was intentional.
