Octopuses can fit through any gap larger than their beak.

Johny Cash (the old American cowboy songwriter from 1950-1970, "The Man in Black") was once asked why he always wore his signature western attire in black, in which he responded:

"I wear the black for the poor and the beaten down, livin' in the hopeless, hungry side of town, I wear it for the prisoner who has long paid for his crime, but is there because he's a victim of the times."

That being said, he is now my second favorite cowboy ever.

Made a new blog for poetry bc I loved this one so much :>

Moss

I needed you to say my name

When you did, I needed it again

You pledged yourself to me

You said my name full with devoution

Like a prayer

Should you have believed another gospel thereafter

You may of burst to flame

Your skin was soil

My lips were sporiferous

Across your neck

Planted a surplus of seeds

Deep beneath the epidermis

I'd water you by demanding that the rain would fall

I'd persuade father time to make you thrive

Nurtured you like an idea

Soon, moss would spread

Across your neck, across your skin

When you looked to the mirror

You saw not as you were

But as I saw you

Full of bias, full of love

Loving yourself, nearly as much as I

Each day I'd tend to the moss

Touching my lips to yours

To your fingertips, to your nerves

Humming as I do so

Soon, as all things do

You would come to rot

I carried you to the garden

A garden we had made together

I laid you to the ground

In a spot I had made for you

Maggots crawled over you

Feasting as they went

But soon, you and the moss were one at last

I continued to tend to our garden

With each passing day

Pulling weeds, commanding rain

Humming as I went

Soon, my bones would grow to wither

From the garden, I'd hear you call

I laid into you

Death gave us two union

As I laid in your arms

Now, the garden still stands

Overgrown with moss

Centipedes, snails, isopods, all thrive.

Children avoid our old home with fear

For they claim to see two ghosts dancing in the window

But in the garden

They may hear, if they listen close

The sound of green moss humming
