Poe Dameron X Reader
Poe Dameron x Reader
A/N: Sorry for yet another Poe fic, but I had this idea and needed to write it before I forgot it.
The day drags on with no word from your friend, Poe. He'd been sent on a mission to retrieve some information from the First Order, and no one's heard from him since. You feel the anxiety come on as the hours pass by. Finn and Rey take notice of how much you're worried and do their best to help.
"I'm sure he's fine, Y/N. Poe's pretty strong" Finn tells you. You sigh and sit down at the table with him and Rey, putting your head in your hands. "I know, I'm just worried about him. I don't want him to get hurt or captured" you say. Your two friends nod understandingly. Rey goes to speak but an alarm goes off, interrupting her. The three of you jump from your seats and rush to the hangar.
The rest of the base rushes to the hangar as well, making it hard to see what's going on. Eventually, you push to the front of the crowd, putting your hands on your hips and staring at the sky. A minute passes by before you see a familiar x-wing land in the hangar. Your shoulders drop in relief and your feet start moving before you can stop. Poe barely has time to prepare himself before you've launched yourself at him. He chuckles and wraps his arms around you, picking you up and spinning you around. You giggle and hold onto him tighter. He sets you down gently and puts his forehead against yours.
"I was worried about you" you whisper. He smiles gently and rubs your face gently with his thumb. "I told you I'd be fine, did I not?" You huff and roll your eyes. "Doesn't change the fact that I was worried" you grumble. He chuckles and you huff. The two of you cling to each other for another few minutes before finally pulling away. BB-8 nudges your leg, and you laugh, patting the droid a couple times.
You and Poe walk back to your shared quarters, hands intertwined with the others. BB-8 rolls behind the two of you, beeping happily. Happiness washes over you when you look at your boyfriend and his droid. You were glad he was back, safe and sound.

Helpless|Steve Rogers x Reader
One look from across the room was all it took for you to fall for Steve Rogers. He was captivating in every way. His aura of leadership and kindness was what caught your attention the most. He was always polite to you and always willing to help whenever you were struggling with something.
Over the course of time, your feelings for him grew, although you never told anyone. You were too embarrassed to confess your feelings to the captain. You didn't think he could ever like you back, and you felt a bit helpless.
That all changed on a calm evening. The rest of the team and you were gathered in Tony's personal cinema, watching a movie that you all had picked out. You weren't paying attention for the most part, too caught up in your own thoughts to focus on the movie, and Steve caught this. He looked at you with concern and placed a hand on your shoulder.
"Are you alright?" he asked quietly. You sighed and shook your head. He took your hand and lead you out of the room. Once you were out of the room, he had let go of your hand and put his hands on your shoulders, looking you deep in the eyes. "What's going on? You know you can talk to me" he spoke softly. Tears welled up in your eyes and you shook your head. "Steve it's embarrassing" you muttered. He sighed and pulled you into his chest.
He held you like that for a few minutes before pulling away, looking in your eyes again. "Whatever it is, you can tell me. You know I won't judge you." You sighed and turned your head away from him. You spoke so softly; he almost didn't hear you. "I love you, Steve. As more than a friend." His face flushed a soft pink, and a smile broke out on his face. He pulled you in close and leaned in. "Can I kiss you?" he asked. You nodded, and his lips were soon on yours.
The kiss was soft, yet passionate. His lips were soft and warm. You wrapped your arms around his neck, and he wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling you in closer. The two of you pulled back for air after a few minutes.
"I love you, too" he whispered, before kissing you again.

y/n:Â dad, i think i'm gonna get my pilot's license. i've already got a driver's license and a cosmetology license, that's two of the big five licenses.
mav:Â the big five licenses?
y/n: driver's license, cosmetology license, pilot's license, fishing license, and… license to kill! i can't wait to get that one.
Sometimes we also run out of ideas as well. I find that to be one of my biggest ongoing issues.
Just a reminder that fanfic authors don't owe you anything.
Sometimes updates are going to take fucking forever.
Sometimes fanfic writers are gonna stop writing because the fandom/story/etc. no longer brings them the same joy.
Sometimes books aren't gonna get finished.
and while It's okay to feel heartbroken or upset that these things have happened, you need to remember that these people aren't being paid for what they do. They're not gaining anything that means they have to finish what they started. They're doing this because they find joy in it
and sometimes that joy fades.
Spill the beans y’all
For Writers:
Reblog if it’s okay for your followers to leave you an ask telling you what the one thing is they remember you for as a writer.  Is it a scene or a detail or a specific line? Is it something like style or characterization?  Is it that one weird kink they never thought they’d be into, but oh my god wow self-discovery time?
