It was a good day for spending a lot of time waiting patiently by little holes in the sand for their inhabitants to pop up. Have I mentioned that I love geolycosa, because--

My new velvet ant. This is a smaller species, so not the big, furry ones that people are more aware of.

She has a more sandy substrate to mimic the area she was collected in and because most people keep them in more desert conditions.

Very cool little guy, she does not have a name yet:)

The wonderful wolf spider, Droplet, my favorite spider in my collection, has died of old age

I caught her almost a year ago when she was chilling in one of my plant pots and she immediately burrowed to the bottom of her enclosure for a month lol.

I will definitely miss her, she was a wonderful spider.

Rest in peace buddy.
