So @the-boobrie-dude had this idea and said I could write something on it so here it is:

Alden Vacker was always a good liar. In his early years he would play pranks on his friends and play innocent. In his higher levels he would lie about sneaking out of the tower or using his telepathy. He made a habit out of lying, it came as easy as breathing to him.

When he began working for the council this habit only grew, lying about what he was doing behind the scenes of his missions, who he was meeting. He kept of his facade of the perfect Vacker. He lied to everyone around him in order to look like the hero.

Meeting Della was one of the best things that ever happened to Alden, however he didn’t stop lying. He left the house under the guise of missions for the council when he was meeting with others in the forest. Alden Vacker lied about what was in his office to his own wife. He lied about everything.

Even his secret mission was a lie. He lied to his cognates face. He lied to his son about why they were searching for a child in the human world. He lied to the council and he lied to Sophie. He lied to everyone he met, everyone he saw in the lost cities.

When his children ran away to the black swan he lied about wanting to join. He lied to his wife telling her she should swear fealty. He lied to his daughter and her friends. He lied to his son. He kept on lying when he sent Alvar to see them.

Alden Vacker had never stopped lying. He lied from the time he was no older than 5 to when he was well over 100. He had no problem lying. So looking in his family’s eyes, saying he was upset, crying, cursing, when Alvar was figured out to be a Neverseen member was all too easy. Alden Vacker hated the Neverseen.

Or so we thought.
