Do you know the difference between being “nice” and being “kind?” They are not interchangeable. “Nice” refers to pleasantness and social etiquette. It's about being polite, agreeable, and avoiding conflict. But “kind” goes much deeper. It's about genuine concern and compassion for others. A kind person might go out of their way to help someone in need, offer support during a difficult time, or simply be present and understanding. Sometimes being kind means you have to tell someone something that is not “nice” to hear, but in the long run, will help them more than if you avoided telling them just to be “nice.” “Nice” is people pleasing. “Kindness” is genuine and selfless. Don’t be nice. Be kind.

We love too much, we give too much. Isn’t that always the way?
