He comments on the dull weather and you hum flicking at the page of a magazine. At a glance the interaction seems innocent enough, your brother’s best friend casually engaging in conversation with you. You were never really one for one night stands, in fact, you’d never had a proper one night stand in your life. It wasn’t that you were necessarily the “good girl” type, but you’d always had a bit more respect for yourself then to let some guy just fuck and chuck you. This time was different, though, this was on your own terms. You last relationship hadn’t made it past a year before things turned sour, eventually growing apart and bitter towards each other. It had been two years since you’d done anything with anyone and you couldn’t take it anymore.

Your friend decided to hook you up with a guy she knew from college. He was kind of the player type, which was perfect considering what you wanted. A couple drinks and jokes later you were already in each other’s pants, drunkenly indulgencing in what you knew would be a night you would probably hate yourself for later.

And now here you were, laying in this stranger’s bed half dressed while his toned back faced you. Apparently, drunk you had some sense to cloth yourself slightly before passing out. Your head was pounding just as hard as your chest was at the memory of what conspired that night. “God…” you whispered, shifting out of the bed as quietly as possible. Were you supposed to just leave without saying anything?

“Morning.” Fuck, he was awake. There goes that plan. You had hoped you wouldn’t have to confront face to face with your impulsive decisions, but here he was staring at you. “Are you leaving?”
