Iceberg slowly regained himself, the first thing he noted was the warm humidity. Next, the sound of water, so it was a spring and not a sauna. His entire body was sore, a result of the attack on his person, twice in as many days. He was not as young as he once was, and while he was still fit as any shipwright was, he was not as quick to recover when injured. The aches and pains were part of why he did not move, even as he took in his surroundings.

Dark eyes landed on the man soaking and he felt his heart break all over again. Lucci, his Lucci, had been a government agent sent to gain his trust and then kill him. Had Lucci ever actually cared? Or was it all a part of his act? Five years of built trust, only to learn that the keel was rotten. More so, why was he alive? He'd heard the words that Kaku and Kalifa had said, they were to kill him, so why was he here now?

He sat up with a gasp of pain, cursing himself for making a sound that the man he thought he had known would hear. Since it was obvious now that he was awake, he looked around his surroundings as he spoke. "Is there a reason I am not dead? Or do you like toying with your prey?" He notes there are two brandy glasses and his brow furrows in confusion.

i am making good progress atm, i am onto my drafts that are less than 2 months old... sadly still without power and have to get ready for bed soon... atm the queue is at twice daily, will up it once i have more of these drafts in it

at a whole different site cos my building was damaged in the storm, now waiting for clock in and will be asking for a loaner laptop cos the one i use is in the building, as per the email instructions so that's fun.... wish me luck, i haven't done family in ages

no one is safe once they are in sight. this included alber, in the name of zero impulse control and science no one was safe!! when lilith saw him she approached him. settling for a slow pace before she gradually became faster, running towards him with the silly sounds of her shoes echoing off the walls. ready or not, lilith launched herself at him, clinging to him like a feral cat before she bit down on his hand, without a warning but all the intention of getting on his nerves.

alber had grown use to the infuriating presence of lilith. because of this, he was not on alert when he sensed her approach. how often had she lurked behind him just to observe him, or to incessantly chitter. he did not think anything of it until he heard her pick up speed, and he turned his head just in time to see her launch and clamp her teeth into his hand. a string of expletives left him and he tried to shake her off, his flames igniting to protect him from any further damage.
