Happy, beautiful Kookie-Day today, everyone! Let's all be thankful for this sweet, open-hearted and loving bunny, that shares so much of himself with us. And he gave us the loveliest present in his birthday live, that just wouldn't end, lol. Just making us a song using our words to him, live...it really blows my mind! We could have all watched him work/sing/dance and just being himself for another 2 hours.

I wish him and all of you the best today, tomorrow and the next year. Let's make more beautiful memories together.

Thank you for this heart felt message!

I'm always amazed at how much Yoongi in particular cares for us, even though we might not realize it, or forget it at times. This is someone, who hand wrote over 300 individual messages on post-it notes together with little gifts for army, on his birthday. This is someone, who took to vlives with gusto, really using it to connect to us, who started spending longer times live, reading messages, answering questions giving advice and comfort, thinking up things to do to keep us entertained. Who made a weekly radio show for us in these hard time to have something to look forward to, drawing with us on YouTube, sharing himself through his music, so that we can take courage and comfort from his struggles.

Yoongi always puts so much effort into spending time with ARMY, and to show us, he cares.

I'm really glad they decided to take this step and prioritise his health. May Yoongi have a full recovery and be able to lead his life as he wishes after he recovers, free of this pain and with his range of movement back.

We'll wait for you. Always.

They say people who have it the hardest give the most comforting words. Life is not fair and will never be. It gives some and takes from many. Before debuting Yoongi had to face loneliness, a non-supportive surrounding and poverty. He moved to Seoul with a big dream and small non-existent resources. He had to work to get food on his table, go to school and train in BigHit. You can google Yoongi in early years and you will see how thin he was. 

It was hard for him but it got even harder as he got into a dangerous car accident but he told everyone including the members of BTS that he just fell down the stairs. Why? Because he was afraid BigHit would not debut him if they found out he damaged his shoulder. And this same accident will affect him for over seven years. Today (201106) His company announced that he has underdone surgery on November 3rd 2020 and that he needs to take a break from work and promotions (Full announcement HERE). 

Imagine not even being able to lift your hand at times but then practice & perform for hours and dance to BTS’ extreme choreos and follow an extreme schedule that allows you no time to rest.  The boys are workaholics and even when given a vacation would still find a way to go find their way back into the studio. Now, we are talking about Yoongi. This man breathes and lives through music. The man who makes 200 to 300 song a year. This year alone he participated like usual into making BTS’ albums and even produced songs to many artists or featured in songs. He also released a whole mixtape. 

All the members of BTS hold huge pride about their job. They are very dedicated to offer the best and continuously work hard for their fans. Yoongi had to push this surgery for YEARS and try everything from painkillers, to medicine and Physical therapy, before he reached his limit now. Yoongi didn’t just suffer physically but battled many mental illnesses.  Life was something that was summed up in one word: Tough.

Yoongi was hurt by many but he always tried to heal rather than harm. Yoongi was hated by many, but he never forgot about how to love back the ones who cared. Yoongi was judged by many, but he always gave every human a chance. This man is kind and wise beyond what words can describe.

Yes, he had wealth and fame now but he paid the cost high. He recently talked to Jin and questioned if working so hard and going through so much was even worth it? To which Seokjin assured and advised him that he achieved beautiful things even while being given loathed things “You (Yoongi) have gone above and beyond.”

Why am I talking about all this? It’s not to gather pity of dramatize the situation. It’s to explain one of the many reasons this man is wildly respected and loved. He is someone that outsiders might describe as cold or scary, but he is a warm soul. He never gave up and that takes plenty of strength. Whoever has physical or mental health issues will tell you how hard it is to even do basic tasks at times but this man is an inspiration who was out there influencing the world positively and running non-stop. 

Yoongi like you always rooted for us this time each of us will tell you: “I am rooting for you.” 

We will wait and pray for your fast and complete recovery. Just know that we will never blame or forget you. It might look like only six members will be present during this upcoming comeback but in our eyes and hearts, BTS are seven. We will miss you but we wish you the best and if the best means for us not to see you for a moment we can hide our tears and show you reassuring smiles and open arms ready to welcome you back anytime. We will try our hardest to not cry tears of pain as they will make you blame yourself. Only tears of joy would be accepted when you are back happier and healthier than ever our dearest Yoongi.

Some things that people apparently don't know about climate change:

Climate change is normal. There has always been fluctuations in Earth's climate. Scientists aren't concerned that the climate is changing, they're worried about how fast it's changing

Greenhouse gases are normal. The greenhouse effect is natural and in fact predates human existence. Again, scientists aren't concerned that there are greenhouse gases, they're worried about the amount of them that are being produced.

The USA makes up less than 5% of the world's population, but contributes 16.7% of global CO2 emissions

Current models suggest that average global temp will increase by 1.5-2.0°C by 2100, and 0.5-7°C by 2300. That doesn't seem like much, but even lowballing those estimates will be substantially more than it has increased in the past 5 million years

Temp change is not equal in all places. Polar regions warm faster than tropical. Factors like wind and ocean currents affect whether temp will change or not. Some seasons will change more than others. Just because the temperature was lower than average one year doesn't mean that global warming isn't real.

It's called climate change for a reason, it's not all just warming. Take Texas this year for example, they had stupid low temperatures for that area, which is definitely abnormal, but doesn't point to evidence that global warming isn't real, it just means that the atmosphere is doing some weird shit because of things happening

Basically, despite the overall global temp increasing, some areas will also experience extreme temps in seasons, like one area will have extreme low temps in the winter and/or extreme high in the summer

The change in temp also affects the water cycle, which causes some areas to have much wetter soil and some to have much drier soil

The change in climate and other abiotic factors in ecosystems have been forcing rapid evolution of organisms in affected environments

But, if organisms can't evolve fast enough, then we're looking at another mass extinction, particularly arctic animals that are being affected most by the climate change causing loss of habitat and resources, and extremely sensitive organisms like almost all amphibians, like frogs and newts etc

The ocean absorbs ~1/3 of the global CO2 emissions per year. That's good right? No, because when dissolved in water, CO2 forms carbonic acid, which lowers the pH of the whole ocean, acidifying it, wreaking havoc on the ecosystem
