1. We are not the Ottoman Empire. We are the Republic of Turkey. Ottomans were our ancestors, yes, yet we are not the same. Atatürk founded this country for a reason. We are not the same. We have our mistakes but we try our best to not become like our ancestors. At least that's what I do (Read this to learn our founder's instructions for the future Turkish youth).

2. Turkey did not colonize anywhere. The Ottoman Empire conquered a lot of places, they did not colonize like Europe did to America and Africa, if they did a lot of people in Eastern Europe would talk Turkish. We have common words, yes, it was the cultural exchange and other bad things that the Ottoman Empire did (such as Devşirme Sistemi, read this please, I genuinely think it's disgusting) But their doings were different, I can't support nor defend what the Ottoman Empire did back in the days.

3. If you're including the Ottoman Empire, we have to include many other countries, empires and civilizations who did bad things. I don't think it's a good idea to include those. If so then we should talk about Nazi Germany for example.

yandere nanami kento is without a doubt the softest yandere on this list. calling him protective would be a huge understatement. he’s suffocating. you lose any and all autonomy with him. kidnapping is not an if it’s a when. he just wants you safe and while he’s aware the measures he goes to are extreme he rationalizes it by saying it’s necessary. you’re just so helpless without him. it terrifies him. whether or not you come to understand why he did what he did doesn’t really matter to him as long as you’re whole and unharmed. the only ‘plus side’ (and this term is being used very lightly) is that yandere nanami is adverse to any and all physical punishment. he’s more inclined to break you down emotionally, or, if you start really causing problems to the point where you hurt yourself, he’ll tether you to the bed until your tantrum is over. he often keeps you there for a few extra days, just so the lesson really sinks in. 

yandere gojou satoru is a selfish bastard. another one where kidnapping is not an if its a when. he’s more possessive than he is protective, though those go hand and hand with someone like him. he wants to be the only person you touch, you see, the only person you even think about. he wants complete control over you and one way or another, he’ll get it. gojou is a terrifying yandere, on the same level as sukuna. he’s just so powerful that escape is near impossible and even if you do somehow manage to wiggle out of his grasp, he holds so much influence and money that you’re unlikely to be gone more than 48 hours before you’re back in his lap. and god his wrath really isn’t worth those few days of freedom. he’s not a fan of physical punishment but you might wish that he was after he introduces you to his infinite domain. 

yandere sukuna is a little tricky. the definition of yandere i tend to stick to is someone who, at their core, is wholly and totally obsessively in love with you, and i have a hard time picturing sukuna falling in love with anyone but if he ever did, he’s the only one on this list i imagine would canonically be a yandere. he wants to own you, body and soul. he wants to possess you completely. there is no line he isn’t willing to cross to have you sitting pretty in his lap while he lounges on his throne. you’re his little pet to do as he pleases with. and god does he want to do so much to you. he’s an awful mix of possessive, protective, and sadistic. and he’s angry. angry that he feels for you in any capacity, let alone this all-consuming obsessive need. he wants to pick you apart, piece by piece, flay you open and hold your heart in his hand and crush it. its what you deserve, after what you’ve reduced him to. but he won’t, because he can show you mercy, he can be benevolent. just make sure you thank him in return for his kindness.

We are right in between Europe and the Middle East and when the USA is like "Oh, let's 'help' Syria" it's us who gets affected as well as the Syrians. And yet people still fucking make memes like that shit and come into my inbox saying "Oh, didn't Turkey invade Syria?". Honey, we had to create a safe zone to protect our borders from the Syrian war and the terrorists. And don't think that I don't realize the EU is using us as a buffer zone to protect themselves from 1. the war and 2. the immigrants.

Fucking huge countries and their people think we are the problem when they are using us to protect themselves.
