Echololan Biodex

Echololans tend to be Bulldog Bats, but can be any species of bat. (60% Bulldog Bat)

100% sexless race, but can feel romantic towards other beings.

When young, the wings are very small and pretty much useless, but will flap faster than full grown wings.

Children proportions are wildly extreme. The wings are tiny, ears are huge, and tails are tiny.

When adults, Echololans can be 7 ft+ and their wings can be disproportionately bigger than their body.

Most of the species are apathetic and/or unable to properly express emotions. However, some will end up with more cheery and pleasant personalities.

Depending on the bat species, they can be aggressive and dangerous. But most are calm and peaceful.

Echololans are mostly a pacifist race until provoked.

Similarly to Namekians, Echololans reproduce through eggs, but not asexually in the same sense as Namekians.

- They will consume another bat’s DNA and mix it with some of theirs, creating a fertile egg with genes from both parents for more adaptation and evolution benefits.

- They lay the eggs the way reptiles do, not mammals

- The bat that lays the eggs can lay from 1 up to 4 in one birth

- The bat that lays the eggs will stay with them until they hatch, keeping them covered with their wings

- The other parent will provide nourishment for their partner (also the babies once they hatch)

The bats will teach their babies flight and foraging as they grow.

- The Echolings learn to fly through repeated trials of riding on their parents’ backs, mimicking their wing movements, and then practicing beside the parents

- Echolings learn to forage through lessons of safe and deadly plants and creatures

Echolings have no eyesight at birth, but gain manageable sight as they grow. Then depending on their activity, they can lose that sight to any degree.

Echololans that have impaired sight will gradually enhance their other senses and rely on hearing, smell, and their echolocation.

It’s uncommon, but possible to hatch deaf and/or blind Echolings. If so, they will learn alternate ways of communication and traveling. (Most common are sign language and Morse code)
