ITS SPOOOKY MONTH!! basically I saw a picture of an elk skull on reddit, then remembered what a leshen was, thennnnn... what if Giorno was forest god/ leshen?  I remembered to record THE WHOLE PROCESS this time, so as soon as that finishes rendering I’ll post it too.

Some of you may recognize my model for Giorno being the one I’m using for my comic adaptation of Merfolk Mating Rituals are Confusing by @zippers-flowers-and-wine- update for that too! I now have a production schedule! So there will be more updates for that in the next few weeks :D

risotto nero.

Risotto realizes that he’s hopelessly in love when you fall asleep on his shoulder.

it happens in a taxi. you’re both on your way to the airport, off to a mission in Wales. some businessman wronged a high-profile member of Passione; as a result, she sent you and Risotto to dispose of the scammer before he could run much further.

but none of that matters now. it’s 5 AM, much earlier than either of you typically wake up. Risotto watches as sleepy bakers shuffle into their businesses and dim streetlights pass by. that’s when he feels a sudden weight on his shoulder.

red irises peek to his side, only to see you sleeping on his shoulder. Risotto purses his lips. he’s... well. honestly, he’s not quite sure how to react or what to do. he’s never been in a situation like this before.

but seeing you here, your own shoulders rising and falling with every breath you take, your hair draping over your face, that hushed little smile on your lips... he realizes that he doesn’t have to do anything.

so he doesn’t. nothing significant, at least. he merely tucks your hair behind your ear and readjusts himself to make you more comfortable. a soft exhale comes from his nose, as if that would help at all with the sudden tightness in his chest. ↳ “get your rest. it’ll still be another 30 minutes before we arrive at the airport.”

prosciutto.

Prosciutto realizes that he’s hopelessly in love after he hears your chipmunk sneeze.

the first time that he heard you sneeze, he didn’t believe it was actually you. the sneeze was so... high-pitched. almost pathetic. it wasn’t until he turned to you, with your rubbing your nose on your shirt, that he realized that was your sneeze.

after the realization hit (and in spite of his professional demeanor), Prosciutto threw himself into a laughing fit. he never saw you as the chipmunk sneeze kind of person. yet it somehow fits? he can’t describe it. he just finds the idea hilarious.

even still, it’s a gesture of why he loves you. you’re someone full of surprises, a fact he’s respected since you began courting. this little feature of yours is so harmless yet so endearing to him. he’d never admit it, though; what an embarrassing feature to love someone for. (he has a reputation to uphold!)

so he tries to avoid situations where your allergies will flare up. he keeps a handkerchief in the pocket of his blazer for your convenience. and as a doting partner, he also reminds you to take your antihistamines. not before chastising you, though. ↳ “here, take this. ...well what the hell did you think was going to happen? it’s the middle of spring.”

melone.

Melone realizes that he’s hopelessly in love when you start to pick up his ‘di molto!’ expression.

it’s so simple, really, but it matters a lot to him. the others (Formaggio and Illuso, mostly) mock him for his excitability. although he’s learned to brush it off, there are still insults that are just enough to get under his skin.

that’s why it matters that you began to say his signature catch phrase. a phrase that he’s teased for, yet something that you’ve nonetheless taken and adopted for yourself. a little piece of himself right there in your voice.

you sound so happy whenever you say it. there’s no limit to its use, whether from a mission well-done or your remembering leftovers from last night. yet every time that you use it, Melone can’t help but feel his heart swell. and with every di molto!, Melone gets another reminder of why he’s so in love with you.

he’s unusually subdued when he confronts you about how much he loves you. you only see him like this when talking with his Juniors. there’s something nice about it, though. he’s nurturing when he wants to be. ↳ “you know that you make me happy, right? I... I just really appreciate having you in my life.”

ghiaccio.

Ghiaccio realizes that he’s hopelessly in love when he sees you doing something that you love.

he knows that he’s built on nothing but passion. Ghiaccio puts his all into everything that he does. whether it be a fight, making a point, or simply responding to a question, that fiery will makes itself evident wherever he is.

yet for once in his life, it doesn’t manifest when you’re sitting down and indulging yourself on one of your hobbies. how you hum while you work, how he knows exactly when you’re stumped just by the curl of your lips. there’s just something so relaxing about watching you work. there isn’t anything running through his mind other than you.

needless to say, you catch him staring at you a lot. the first time that you called him out, he fiercely denied that he was watching you. the fifth, however, Ghiaccio fessed up. he asked if it bothered you, to which you shrugged and said no. it was just something that you noticed.

the fact that you were watching him as intensely as he was watching you... it makes him realize that he’s wildly, unequivocally in love with you. and he’s perfectly okay with that. ↳ “[Name]! teach me how to do that!! I want a part in what makes you happy!!!”
